Great quality material used.
Great build quality! I purchased this to run a house fan at the opposite side of a room that has minimal outlets. My fan ( not an AC ) , does not draw much power so this is perfect. I wanted to make sure that the cable was thick enough so the cord/outlets, would not get hot. I probably did not need this thickness but hey, always nice to be safe. I did not notice anything that had heat to it. Thanks!

We always need a variety of outdoor extension cord sizes when setting up our outdoor Christmas lights and decorations. The shorter 6′-8′ sizes work well when decorating around our front door and steps because we have an outlet right beside the door. Longer cords here can appear messy and can become a tripping hazard if you are not careful.At first glance the Ultra Explorer 6′ cord appears slightly pricey for an extension cord of this size. However, this is a very well made 14 AWG exterior extension cord with a thick durable PVC insulated jacket to help protect the wiring. The clear male and female plugs are sturdy and the female end is illuminated when the cord is plugged in. This helps make the cord easier to see at night, provides a visual cue that the cord is powered and can even help out when you are troubleshooting strings of lights.Overall, it is a well made UL listed outdoor extension cord that should provide years of safe use.
