Fastest charging solar for the $
I’ve been researching portable solar chargers for a while and waiting to buy until I absolutely needed one. Technology is always improving, and electricity confuses me.The speed of this charger did not disappoint. Yes, solar is slow. But I really feel whatever technology is in this charger is way better than your standard portable.I charged my mophie during the day , (about 4.5 hours partly cloudy 6700 mAh from dead (usually takes 2+ hours on shore power.)) then used the mophie to charge my phone at night. I did shade the battery pack as much as possible (including a lightweight white towel and air circulation) to reduce the chances if it getting too hot. And didn’t have to subject my phone to the sun. (Any battery in the sun is BAD.) That is why I like the fact that this does not have its own battery.I’m very pleased with this charger. Will definitely look to this brand for any future needs.

Works great
Compact storage is a good plus. Easy to store. It was good to go out of the box and use immediately. Would recommend charging the battery over a given period of time and then charging phone as opposed to all at once.

This is an excellent device to charge your devices while off the grid.
The âKTenergy 36W Solar Charger, Portable SunPower Solar Panel for Camping, IPX65 Waterproof, Foldable Compatible with iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, etc.â works. Having said that, there are several things everyone must understand about solar power. It is not what the media hype seems to believe it to be. There are many factors that will affect results: altitude, cloud cover, fog, humidity, heat, etc. You will probably never be in the ideal situation to get a constant 36W of power. I got this with the idea of charging my battery bank and then charging my phone or accessories. Heat and sun are not a good combination for phones. I appreciated one reviewerâs experience, who warned me to use a power bank with a designated input, not one that is input/output. I have several that have a USB micro-designated input. Until I read this, I thought it was redundant to have a USB micro input on a power bank, but now I see its wisdom. The other thing to note is that it is only IPX5 waterproof rated. The picture with water splashing all over seems to give you the impression that you can pour water all over this thing, but the USB ports will not be covered when charging. A simple trick is to have a clear plastic large enough to cover it in the event of a rain shower. A clear tent, so to speak, for your solar charger is a notable precaution when a rain shower could come out of nowhere. Lastly, there is a picture of a man hiking with a solar panel hanging over his backpack. I would say that this would be the most ineffective way to charge your devices, but it is an option. I personally would instead leave it at camp under a clear tent, charge a power bank, and forgo the extra weight on my pack. This is an excellent device to charge your devices while off the grid or to have during an emergency.

Nice panels but…
These solar panels are made of what feels like good quality materials. They are large and sturdy feeling. Unfortunately, during the hurricane we just had and loss of power for almost 2 weeks proved them to not be very useful. All day in the blazing sun barely charged anything. They just aren’t useful with such little results. My Review Criteria: I do not review anything that I don’t want/need for my own personal use and I have enough knowledge about it to provide accurate and useful details. I do tell it like it is and I am not influenced to provide feedback that isn’t based on facts or my own experience. Therefore you can trust my unbiased review as if I were a friend looking out for your best interest and that of your hard-earned money.

Charges fast, thoughtful design
Works as expected, charges quickly. It comes with two carabiners if you need to hang the solar panels anywhere. There is a pocket to store things to keep your device away from the hot sun (if needed). Overall great performance at a good price.

Advertised as a â 36 Watt â
BUT it is actually a â 30 Watt â solar panel (see pictures) As far as the solar charging goes so far it seems fine, but I wasnât happy this is listed as a â 36 WATT â when itâs actually a â 30 WATTâ so for that reason I could only give this ONE star âï¸***Revised : Have to say that the âsellerâ is OUTSTANDING when it comes to their customer service though . They say their mistake and immediately took care of the issue with me ð so kudos to the SELLER !!!! âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸
