Exactly what I needed.
Needed this for a fall trip to Italy. Used it on a hike on Mt. Etna and it was perfect. It packs well into a provided bag with a drawstring, the zipper works beautifully and is hidden by a Velcro flap once on. The hood can be worn or stored in its own zippered compartment. It was great looking, fit well, was lightweight, and kept me very dry.

Why bother with big brand jackets?!
Donât listen to any negative reviews. I canât figure out anything negative about this jacket. I use this jacket often for backpacking and hiking in the mountains. I have seen a fair amount of heavy rain in this. This jacket is lightweight, packable, durable, quiet and not slippery sounding, DOESNT WET THROUGH because itâs a plastic type material and not fabric, (it doesnât even wet through with the pressure of my backpack shoulder straps pushing on it) has a great zipper, over sized hood for good coverage, well designed cinch, sizing is accurate. What else do you want?! I also use this as a wind breaker over my down puffy jacket and it works excellent for that.

Large fit my 5’7″ 190 lb. body, but it’s going to be warm
Update: I really liked this rain jacket. I’m hiking in Spain and the weather has been cold and rainy every day practically. With a long sleeve shirt underneath for insulation I was toasty warm… until I left it in a taxi. It is nice. I may buy another when I get home—-I tried this rain jacket on in my A/C house and it was already warm. It fits nicely, sleeves have elastic closure and the waist has adjustable shock cord, L & R. Seams are all taped. Front is zipper closed with Velcro storm flap and there’s a hidden hood. It has 2 interior pockets. and 2 zippered exterior pockets.I needed something for a backpack trip in Spain this August, in case of rain. If it rains I’m hoping it’s a cold front as well or I’ll just use the sunbrella to keep me dry. For the low price you can’t expect a high quality rain jacket. Enclosures say it’s breathable, it does have a liner and I find the outside material to be soft, not like a plastic bag as some have said.I’ll be going through some mountains so it should be a good windbreaker and I have a fleece shirt I can wear under it, if it gets really cold (that’s 50s for me).I looked at a lot of other low cost rain jackets and this seemed the best of the bunch. It’s definitely lighter than the one from my bass boat. 12.6 oz. in the carry bag vs. 21.3 oz. fishing rain jacket. Now that I’ve had a chance to see/feel it, I’m pleased with the purchase. Less to carry but protection from the elements. I would buy it again.

Quality seems fine to me
I had originally ordered a 3XL but that was too big. Long in the sleeves. So I reordered a 2XL and it fits much better. I usually wear a 3XL shirt. I like this jacket. It’s very lightweight. I haven’t stuffed it into the pouch yet. I haven’t even wore the jacket yet other than trying it on for fit. The “taped” seams in this jacket are fine. Very good quality. I like how the hood folds up and kind-of makes a turtleneck covering when fully zipped. The zipper is good. Pockets big and roomy. Snaps are good and the front flap nicely velcro’s shut. Bottom drawstring is good. This color, Khaki, looks more green to me, and that’s great cause I wanted this color. The other choices on the color chart (either too dark green or bright green) weren’t what I wanted so I chose khaki, what I thought would be more tan but I got this color. It’s fine for me. I like the color. Kinda like a flat olive green. Not too green. But I like it. 33,000 Feet seller is a good Amazon merchant. If I need another jacket, I’ll come back to them. The price was a good price too. Thanks.

Great First Impression!
I threw this in the cart after it had rained off & on for a solid 2 weeks here and I was ill-equipped the entire time. Great overall ratings and color options sealed the deal.A month and a half later I finally get to use the darn thing! Dog had to go out and I hadn’t even taken off the tags! Once outside the rain picked up and I was able to release and place the hood with one hand since the other was holding the leash. It functioned exactly as it should. I remained dry, and I appreciated the extra interior lining on all the seams when hanging it up to dry afterwards. This jacket will not provide any warmth, but that should be apparent from the photos and descriptions. If I was forced to say something negative about the item after a single use… The “packable” feature is a separate pouch that is able to hold the entire jacket. The only other rain jacket I’ve owned similar to this was made by Columbia. Their “packable” jackets could be stuffed inside-out into the left pocket of the jacket itself. That pocket had a double-zipper and a loop inside for storage. Clever design, we’ll see how long it takes me to lose the storage pouch on this one…

I bought it for golf, I’ve been caught on the rain many times. It worked great, not a drop went through.I put it in my bag, dosen’t take up much space.
