Made from a quality EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) and EPE (extended polyethylene) foam materials. The outside cover is super soft made from a suede material. Soft and comfortable. Super strong and durable. Anti slip bottom. The beam easily and quickly folds in half and includes a convenient carrying case. Space saving. Weighs only about 4 pounds. Lightweight. Lots of slipping!
I appreciate the size of this beam and that it folds in half for easy storage but the fabric is velvet. My kids are constantly slipping off. If you’ve got kids that are pretty good at balancing already, it’s not worth the purchase but if you’ve got little ones that are just learning how to balance, it may be worth is. I

Ideal For Those Under 150lbs
This gymnastics foam beam arrived quickly and well packaged. The beam that I received is for my daughter and she couldnât be more excited. It has a deep purple suede exterior that is soft to the touch and has a non slip bottom. The beam can be used in the folded position as it was shipped in for more height (4.8âx53.15â), or you can open it up in order to extend the length (2.4âx106.3â). It has a 4 inch width across the top where you would place your feet. The foam is surprisingly dense and retains its shape while she was standing on it, though I could feel more give when I stepped on it. I didnât see any suggested weight limit, but I would say it retains its shape best for those under 150lbs. It comes with a convenient travel bag, and the beam itself has carry handles on the side making it easy for children and adults to maneuver and it is perfect for on the go. The price point for this beam is relatively comparable to other similar products. Overall, this is a great option for those who are looking for a beam to practice balance or gymnastics moves from the comfort of your own home without breaking the bank. Just be mindful that the heavier you are, the more the foam will flex which could impact your stunts and/or safety. Would recommend for lighter adults and children.

Okay for little kids/play purposes
My daughter is 13 and a gymnast. She wanted something to practice beam skills on at home. We wanted something easy to move out of the way and put away. We had this set up in the basement (carpet on cement slab). It seemed like it gave too much but it also didn’t seem much different on hard floor. The issue is that if the foot hits anywhere near the edges, it gives and sags on the sides. This is narrower than a regulation beam. So, on the one hand, this gives her practice more precision, but on the other hand, it’s really hard for someone with larger feet to hit a spot that doesn’t give a little bit and sag. She’s about 110 lbs and 5’1″ tall, so she’s relatively small for her age, but just doesn’t seem like this is a good fit or equipment for her. I love how light it is, and how easy it is to put away, but the usefulness of this is questionable for gymnasts. Great option for parents of toddlers working on balance.

Great balance beam!
This balance beam is really nice! One of our teenagers is cheer captain, so she does gymnastics as well. She likes to practice a lot at home so this works great with her routine. It’s a good size, soft to touch, and I like that it has a non slip bottom. It comes with a storage bag, so when my girl isn’t using it she can store it in the bag to keep it out of the way. It’s lightweight, so she can carry and unfold it herself. It seems to be made really well and my girl loves it!

PROMFMOVE 10 FT – better for small kids!
My 9-year-old granddaughter has taking gymnastics classes for 6 years and I thought this would be great for her to practice the balance beam movements. First, this folds in two and has a small footprint so easy to store. We have a large gymnast mat on the garage floor and there is plenty of room to open this 10 ft beam and lay it flat. My granddaughter weighs 83 lbs and she said that this is nowhere near as good as the beam at the gym. If her foot hits toward the side it squishes the side and sometimes her foot slides down. She is only 51 inches tall and muscular so when she is going full on she is hitting down with some power. She said this is fun for her to do her handstands and cartwheels and just OK for balance beam practice. I tried to balance it and it was hard as my feet are too big and I donât have great balance at my age. Overall she likes this and it does help her practice as there is no room for a professional balance beam that also needs a lot of height above it.
