Great quality
I picked this up to use in the bathroom since it’s waterproof. The UL listed, 16AWG cord is beefy enough support my uses–an electric kettle, a computer, and a humidifier. The IPX6 rating gives me peace of mind knowing that splashes and drips and pooling water aren’t going to affect it. I like the clear housing as it enables you to see if there is any moisture inside. Each outlet has a green LED that lights up when that slot is occupied. The build quality and materials are all very solid. An exceptional value at this price point.

Decent Unit But Question Whether It is Truly Waterproofâ¦
I ordered this Outdoor Weatherproof Power Strip but upon receiving it, I question whether it is truly waterproof as the outlets are exposed to the elements without protection. Therefore, I am unsure whether it is truly a waterproof unit. As I am not fully confident in this product, I am not comfortable in recommending it. Previous outdoor power strips I have used have had some sort of cover over the outlets, or some other type of protection from rain, which this one does not have. I believe the listing needs to better address what actually makes this unit safe with rain exposure besides the drain holes.

Looks good
Very heavy duty and even looks kind of nice. The hanger slots on the back are very handy. The clear cover over the slots appears to be capable of protecting it from rain, which is good since I’m using it to support outdoor lights. Just the right size when you don’t need a full size strip.

Good value
Currently listed at $13.99 so a good value for an outdoor power strip with 3 outlets and surge protection. I like that it is FCC UL listed and that it has the 4 indicator lights but I’m not certain how well it will work when mounted to a wall during rain since the slots to allow water to run out are flush to the back so if I mount it to the wall with the slotted screw mounts, those water openings will no longer be open since they will be flush to the wall so where would the water go? Or do I need to leave the screws out a bit more which would give space for water to run out but then the strip would wiggle when inserting or removing plugs? I may decide to add spacers to the wall for the mounting slots but I just feel that should have been incorporated into the design. And also if I was trying to conceal this under an outdoor bar or table top, it might not get as wet but life happens and if water did get spilled on that top and into this outlet (possibly a slatted top) where would the water go? Gravity says it would go into the slots meant for it to run out of and down to the actual plug insertion slots.. In which case I would hope that with the safety features it shuts off but still would mean. no power .

A “Safer” Outdoor Power Strip
I haven’t seen these types of power extensions with inbuilt switching to allow live connection to the terminals ONLY when a plug is fully inserted. A casual user will likely miss the fact that this has an internal mechanical on each outlet to connect the power. I recommend watching the manufacturer’s video in the listing to understand how it works. It also has drain holes that allow rain water to run through the case. I would still personally avoid using any power connections outside with a power strip on the ground. But this one will be my preferred outdoor strip from now on, although I’ll keep it off the ground when in use. Nice product and a handy-sized extension length.
