Great product, well built
I never leave reviews but I always read them. I usually find that people are harsh on the reviews for the dumbest reasons. This item is fantastic. This is my first kayak dollie purchase but I appreciate well-crafted items. This thing is well built, super easy to assemble and lightweight. The wheels are super easy to remove and reattach. It folds down small enough you donât really need to remove them even if they joint you for a paddle. Tires are beefy and grippy. The kickstand folds up easily and works well.Get a proper tie down and toss the included strap. It would work but itâs hard to tighten enough for my liking. Now Iâm off on a solo trip. Peace out!

Great little cart but needs more/longer straps
This seems to be a great kayak cart. I would recommend getting two longer straps or at least another one.We have a 10-1/2ft tandem kayak (76lb) and this has been very useful. Place the cart around 5-1/4ft back (middle) to make sure it almost balances on the cart, and strap the legs. Wrap a strap around one of the rear legs of the cart and then over the kayak and around the rear leg of the cart on the other side and cinch down the strap. Do the same with the front legs of the cart with another strap. We found that strapping only one set of legs allowed the cart to fold up on itself in soft sand. Also, our kayak is about 36in wide and 15in tall, so the one strap included was too short to effectively strap the legs like I noted above. Luckily, out kayak roof rack cane with two really long straps that did the job for us.The cart was also light, and we were able to strap it down to the back of the kayak while we were out on the water so that we didnât have to make extra trips to drop off and pick up at the car. If your storage holes are big enough, you could even drop it in there as an alternative. The wheel can be easily removed and put back on to accomplish this.

strong, light, smelly, and cheap. I like it.
I bought this for a sunfish sailboat. As other have mentioned, the top of the carrier is relatively flat, so extra padding is required (in the form of zip-tied pipe insulation) if you have a highly contoured boat with a full length keel. For grins, I tried my ocean kayak and my wilderness systems kayak and both fit pretty well. This carrier holds the weight of the 150# sunfish just fine, it should be more than adequate for any kayak. The wheels are not very wide set, about two feet; so it tips easily with the sail boat. with a kayak, it doesn’t tip badly. As others have mentioned, the rubber wheels stink really bad, its pretty funny. Just store it outside. As others have mentioned the included tie down strap is mediocre at best, and you really need two of them, because the carrier tends to roll out from underneath, tipping forward or backwards, with just the one tie down. They could improve the product by adding a place to attach tied downs (instead of the inexplicable, useless kickstand). Overall, for the price, its a great product. I’m thinking about getting another for my yaks. Oh, its pretty light too.

Collapses easily
Nice, lightweight, easy to assemble. Seems to work great on flat level ground. The problem occurs when you go “off road.” The first rock or bump you hit, and the whole thing collapses. This is very annoying. There needs to be a way to lock it to prevent collapsing. There is not a dedicated area for the strap to attach to, so it can slide around as well allowing your kayak to slip. Someone mentioned attaching the strap near the axles, I will have to try that. So, I give this product an overall 3 because of the collapsing issue.

Great Carrier System
Great item for the price. The strap for securing the kayak is good but attachment to the carrier could be better. I’ve found that over bumpier terrain the strap tends to slide, and the kayak slips off the carrier. I’ve found that securing the strap through something, like a handle, cleat or eyelet, etc., prevents slipping and binds the kayak more firmly to the carrier. Depending on the position of your handles or that secure point, you might need a longer strap or a ratchet strap to secure your kayak. The carrier is sturdy and has great turning and maneurverability due to its wheel base/size/material. It works great with a kayak, but with something heavier like a jon boat I might recommend something else. Great for a kayak, and sold at a great price!

too many small issues add up to a BIG let down
Overall, it’s not bad for the price. However, there are a few small problems with it that just make it terrible. 1st there’s nowhere to hook the strap to the framing. this lack of connection causes the kayak to slip through the strap no matter how tight you get it. 2nd. the tires are very thin & any that can remotely poke WILL go through & puncture the tube. 3rd it is EXTREMELY hard to replace the tube because of how the hub is made.4th the axle hole is 3/4″ common axle hole is 5/8″. so good luck finding replacement tires. In conclusion, these 4 things make it unusable. The framing is however, VERY sturdy & you can lay it on the back of most kayaks while your out.

Good and sturdy rolls over rough terrain with ease. Givin 4 stars due to the strap, should have a quick release clip with tension adjustment
