CGM Patches and Travel Case
Hi, my name is Ryan. I have T1D and began designing CGM patches in early 2020.
Being an engineer, I knew that the design had to satisfy some key criteria in order to be a great product. These included: small in size; easy to apply; kind on sensitive skin; non-stick area over the sensor in case you want to change it; and of course, long lasting despite sweating and swimming in the ocean. I’m happy to say that our patches tick all of these boxes.
How long do they last?
Our patches are designed to last 10-14 days when applied correctly.
Are they ok for sensitive skin?
Our patches use a medical grade hypoallergenic adhesive – which means they are kind on all skin types.
We are often told that our patches are the only patches that don’t cause a skin reaction for our customers with sensitive skin.
Should I wear them in water?
You sure can! Feel free to have a shower, go swimming in the ocean or whatever else tickles your fancy.

Decent, a little awkward
This patch for the dexcom g6 is okay. It lasts longer than some other patches I’ve tried. It is a little awkward to get into place, as most are. I do have sensitive skin and have not noticed any skin irritation from these, which is a plus.

Decent overpatch for your Dexcom G6. It will keep your G6 on even when bumped
This is a decent replacement for the Dexcom overpatch, as getting ahold of those can be time consuming. Having these as a backup is good. They seem to be about the same quality as the Dexcom ones. As with the Dexcom ones it’s rather hit or miss how long these stay on as it really depends on how clean and oil free your skin is when applied. How much you sweat, if you go swimming/get in water, etc…Basically, use them as you need them.

good cover patch
For users of CGM devices, there is an ongoing struggle to keep the devices in place. Too often, the adhesive used to ‘mount’ the devices fails due to sweat, skin oils or accidential dislodging. There are a number of different ‘patches’ on the market to help keep these CGM devices in place for their 10-14 life span. The different patches must use different adhesive formulas in that some have irritated my skin while others do not.So what about these ones? They keep the CGM on for its ‘defined’ life. While not as easy as some to apply over the CGM, it isn’t too bad. My problem with this (and others) is that trying to remove the covering of the adhesive, sometimes it gets folded onto itself and that ‘spoils’ that patch. After trying these for a bit, I am detecting some skin irritation. This is not unusual but it is why it only gets 4 stars from me.

Thin flexible transparent patches for dexcom G6
This is a very thin transparent film patch for dexcom G6. Like most film type patches there are 3 layers: Remove the bottom layer (the WHITE side) to expose the adhesive. The white layer leaves a small edge on each end so you can hold the patch for application without touching the adhesive. Apply the adhesive over your dexcom and then remote the small edges so the whole patch is adhered to your skin. Then remove the top layer which is a more rigid clear plastic layer that holds the patch rigid so it won’t wrinkle while you are applying it. The rigid layer has two sections – just lift the blue edge to take off each section. I have used many patches and this is very well designed and easy to apply. Adhesive is strong but was easy to remove and did not irritate my skin. This film is a little more grippy than most – when you run your finger along the film it doesn’t slide easily and you can hear a bit of a squeak if you drag your finger along it.

Need full coverage
Doesn’t cover entire dexcom, wish it covered entire unit..

Had skin rash and irritation
Not for sensitive skin. Period. I used one and within 1 day my skin was red and itchy and I had to remove it carefully without pulling the sensor out

Good adhesive
These dexcom stickers are great. My diabetes is very unmanaged at the moment and I have a lot of lows. Those lows come with profuse sweating and unfortunately that means that the standard dexcom sticker is not quite strong enough come date 8 or so sometimes. It is nice to know that I have additional stickers to provide adhesion to my skin that I can add on when my device becomes loose so that I get the correct number of days out of it. I have not had any issues with these stickers causing any rashes or skin irritation. I have very sensitive skin so this is an important quality. The package quantity is perfect because I don’t always need to use them so I have plenty to last quite a while.

Sweat resistant
I am a heavy sweater and with the Florida heat and humidity it is a challenge to keep my glucose monitoring devices on. These patches are wonderful at keeping them attached to my arm. I thought I was going to have to stop using my continuous glucose monitor but these bandages saved the day.

Iâve used the Libre patches which were brilliant. These ware awful. Very very disappointing. Not flexible, didnât lie flat, do not bend with my body. Waste of money
