Just what I needed for rehabbing a shoulder
When I looked for a weight set, I wasn’t looking for a body-building setup or something to help me bulk up. I was looking for a relatively light set of weights I could use to continue building up strength and resilience in my arms following a shoulder replacement surgery and several months working with a rehab specialist. This set offered a nice set of barbells for one and two-arm use, as well as enough relatively lightweight plates which are all well covered in plastic – cutting the risk of pinching injuries with metal plates. I like that the barbells are wrapped in thick foam, making them easy to grip and less likely to slip in your hands. Everything is well-made, I saw no cuts or damage out of the box, and after a couple of months of use everything still looks pristine. The double locking nuts take a moment more when putting together weights on a barbell, but they are stable and in the whole time I have used them i have not had one plate slip loose. I believe in safety first – and this is a safe set of weights.I saw complaints about lacking enough pieces to build two kettlebells at once, but my workouts focus on isolation, so one kettlebell is all I need. Not an issue for me.Had I been looking for work with heavier and heavier weights, I might have found this set limiting – but for my needs – reps with low weight – these gave me plenty of room to grow as my arms strengthened. If you are looking for weights for a scenario like mine, I highly recommend this set of weights.

Space Efficient & Versatile for at home workouts
These are great for strength training in my small apartment. They give you lots of options for use – they can be used as free weights, kettle bells, or with the bar. They do take some time to twist on and off so it requires a bit of patience between reps, but it’s not a huge hassle. I’ve been really enjoying getting in more workouts with weights at home because these are so convenient.

Great little at home kit
I don’t have time to go to a gym so I do all of my workouts at home and this has been a nice little addition to the weights I have here. It comes with a bunch of adjustable pieces to help you workout whichever way you enjoy most, whether it’s dumbbells, kettlebells or using a bar. It’s not a ton of weight but more than enough to get a good workout in.

A good deal for what you get
I like this set, it’s a good deal for what you get and I’m glad I have it. But I have some cons to mention first and those cons are why this isn’t 5 stars but 4.This set came with 2 handles for kettlebells, but only one threaded kettlebell rod that has the stopper on the bottom. You won’t be able to make two kettlebells so I’m not sure why you get the extra handle. You get two dumbbell rods and enough clamps to make two complete dumbbells though. You get 4 clamps. Which means you can’t have two dumbbells made and a kettlebell if you don’t pick up extra clamps from somewhere or have one laying around. So ideally to round this set out I’d like to have seen it come with an extra rod for the kettlebell setup and two more clamps which I would have left 5 stars no problem if that were the case. Now that’s out of the way, everything is great manufacture quality, the set looks nice as an addition in the home gym here and I like the color choice for the accents. You can also make a barbell by threading each dumbbell rod through either side of an included foam padded middle piece. Pretty convenient if you have a very small space like a dorm room or single room to keep your weights in and could use something like that. I would have appreciated that back when I was living in a small space for sure. With a setup like this you can get a wide range of movements and exercises with what’s included and still break it all down to fit a small space when you’re not using it.What I think really makes this stand out though is the quantity of weight you get for the price including the attachments which is a sweet deal when all is said and done. I’ve always felt the sweet spot when buying weights is about one dollar per pound of weight, but that’s a pre inflation mindset. This isn’t bad at all for what you can get these days.I’d just rather have it be evened out like I mentioned above with an extra rod and two more clamps is all. That might be a deal breaker for some but if you’re looking for a starter set that you can for sure do a full workout with or just some extra weights this is a good deal as I see it so I recommend it for that reason for what it is. Even if it’s just for the one kettlebell that you can stack or remove weight on as needed, that’s pretty useful honestly instead of just buying a bunch of fixed weight kettlebells which can be pretty pricey.

Decent but limited
This adjustable set seems on a par with a few others Iâve tried, and my main problem with this one would probably apply equally to those, except that Iâve configured those as dumbbells. I put this together to make a barbell, and due to the relative lightness of the individual weightsâand the length of the two dumbbell bars that connect to configure a barbellâthe amount of weight you can get on the barbell is pretty limited. If I get any stronger Iâll have to cannibalize some other equipment for heavier weight plates. That said, if youâre planning to use this set to build dumbbells, itâs probably fine for beginning and moderate lifters, though there are cheaper options that give you pretty much what you get hereâand show the weights in both pounds and kilograms (which these plates do not, website notwithstanding).
