Awesome Dutch oven!
I love this Dutch oven. It’s substantial and holds heat well; it’s cast iron and NOT lined on the inside but is porcelain lined on the outside. I initially purchased it for a specific recipe but have used it several times since receiving it. It IS quite heavy (as it should be).Absolutely recommend this.

Some thing is not right
Good make however only two times cooking is not easy to clean up. I did follow the guidelines carefully .Updated ~ after washing it and used oil coating on now it is nice and clean.

Excellent quality dutch oven
All Clad cookware is known for their exceptional quality and extremely balanced cooking and this cast iron dutch oven is no exception. I have a full All Clad kitchen but I did not have a dutch oven which can be a staple while cooking. I love the ability to use dutch ovens as the ultimate one pot meal since it can go from stovetop to oven. This dutch oven was exactly as I expected in quality and cooking results. The Dutch oven is 6 quarts and is 10 inches in diameter. It is the perfect size for most family meals. The cast iron is well seasoned right out of the box so no need to heat and oil it over and over again before the first use. Clean up is also very easy as a little soap and water will clean it right up. You never want to put All Clad cookware in the dishwasher, only hand wash.Cooking with the dutch oven is so nice over a gas cooktop. The bottom heats up very evenly cooking the food perfectly. My largest issue with cheaper pans is that the bottom does not heat up evenly causing some of the food to be cooked too much and others not enough. As with all dutch ovens, I love being able to move it from the cook top to the oven although I am not sure how I feel about putting the metal top in the oven with the pot. Most other dutch ovens are made with a ceramic lid which I would argue is better for oven cooking.Unlike my other All Clad pots and pans, the cast iron pan is said to possibly rust which means you need to keep it clean and dry after each use. Also included with the pan is a wooden trivet, which is basically a wooden plate designed to withstand the heat of the dutch oven so that you can move the pot from oven/cooktop straight to the kitchen table to serve. This is a very nice addition so that you donât need to worry about putting the hot plate directly onto your table.Overall I am very pleased with the dutch oven. Most of the time I will use this as a regular cast iron pot but the ability to put it right in the oven to finish a meal is an excellent plus. If taken care of properly, this pan will last a lifetime in your kitchen. All Clad kitchen equipment do come with a higher price. At the time of writing this review, it currently sells for $246 but I truly believe it is well worth this cost.

Just about as good as it gets
This is about as good as it gets. I was raised on meals cooked in cast iron pans. In fact, my maternal grandparents used little else on their stovetop at home in Chattanooga and I had nothing else but cast iron for the stove in my country home in southern Tennessee. Although my parents almost never used cast iron, I still learned to like the food cooked in it best of all, and still do.This braiser would have had me drooling fifty years ago. It is perfectly balanced, its tall sides contain most splatter, and it heats evenly. Iâve used it for grilling steaks and vegetables, making homemade soups and chili, and sauteing. It has made every dish with a consistency that I have rarely enjoyed after deciding to go modern as a young man.I can recommend this with absolute confidence.

All-Clad – High quality cookware that will last forever
This is an amazing piece of high-quality cookware that is so versatile.First off, I have a large family and do the majority of our families meals at home so Iâve had a lot of time to try this out.I canât say enough about the style and quality of this pan. It has an amazing look about it and also includes a wood trivet for a display and serving. The enamel outside is smooth and easy to clean. The interior is not nonstick, but cast-iron that has a light enamel coating and does not require pre-seasoning like regular cast iron. This pan has been so easy to clean. If I do have some thing that gets a bit over cooked and sticks, all I have to do is put a bit of water in the pan and boil it, and the food easily releases.Cooking is also easy with the nice even hot heat. This pan provides. The 4 quart size is great for our family to use for side dishes.I love that this pan can go from stove top to oven or grill as well. Iâve had good luck searing meats and then popping them in the oven to finish. The wide handles make this easy to carry and the stainless steel lid is a solid medium weight (not too heavy and not too light).I have been phasing out my nonstick cookware over to cast-iron, and this pan is one of my new favorites. I think it would make an amazing wedding or housewarming gift for any home cook.
