Lightweight, Warm, and Perfect for Travel
I recently purchased the Amazon Essentials Men’s Packable Lightweight Water-Resistant Puffer Jacket, and Iâm thoroughly impressed with its quality and versatility. Hereâs my experience:Fit and Comfort: I bought the Big & Tall size, and it fits perfectly! The cut is flattering without feeling too snug, and thereâs plenty of room for layering underneath if needed. The elastic cuffs are a nice touch, keeping the cold air out.Warmth and Weather Resistance: For such a lightweight jacket, itâs surprisingly warm. Iâve worn it in temperatures as low as [insert approximate temperature] with just a sweater underneath, and it kept me cozy. The water-resistant feature worked well during light rain, keeping me dry without compromising breathability.Portability: This is one of the best features. The jacket folds into its own compact carrying pouch, which is perfect for travel or keeping in the car for unexpected weather changes. It barely takes up any space in my bag!Style: The design is sleek and minimal, making it suitable for both casual outings and more polished looks. I chose black, and it looks even better in person than in the photos.Pros: Lightweight, warm, packable, and affordable.Cons: None so far!Overall, I highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for an affordable, stylish, and functional outer layer. It’s an excellent choice for travel or everyday wear, and I plan to purchase another in a different color!

Survived European Backpack Trip
I bought this to take on a trip through the UK, France, and Italy. The jacket I purchased is yellow. I wanted something that would be adequately warm on a cool spring day so I wouldnât have to bring another sweatshirt or have to pack long sleeve shirts. I also wanted something that folded up very small as I was only taking a backpack for 10 days. This jacket fit the bill perfectly. It comes with a bag which will compress the jacket down to about the size of a smaller shoe, but the way I found best to pack it was to fold it into quarters, flat, and put it on top of my clothes in my backpack. The jacket would compress almost completely flat, adding almost no bulk to my bag. It was like a magic trick how small it became. When I wanted to have it handy, but did not want to carry it, I would stick it through the handle of my backpack, pulling it halfway through, and it would stay there securely when I put my bag into overhead luggage storage on the Italo and Eurostar, making to easy to grab if I became cold. There were some cold and very windy evenings and nights when we were in London and Paris (50 degrees F, with a strong breeze coming off the Thames and Seine) and this jacket kept me warm with just a t-shirt on underneath. I encountered a brief rain shower on the Path of the Gods and stayed dry and the jacket dried pretty quickly. I canât speak to how well it would perform in a heavy downpour as that was the only rain I experienced during my trip. Overall, this jacket was perfect for me and at the price point, I was not going to be upset if it got lost, stolen, or ruined. After being stuffed in my bag over and over and shoved into overhead storage, the jacket still looks brand new. Not to mention it looked stylish in all of the photos my wife and I took! I am 6â6â and weigh about 190lbs and I bought a large. It fit well without a lot of extra bulk and the sleeves were long enough for my wingspan. 10/10, would recommend!

Good cheaper alternative but not for heavy use
I bought for the purpose of travel and outdoor use in those times where temps can change drastically from 70F in the morning down to 40F at night.I got this on sale for $20 which was a far cry from $60-120 asking price of other packable down jackets. For the price, it’s much warmer than I thought and has well thought out features. So far I’ve worn this in 42F weather, coldest and just going on a walk I was breaking a bit of a sweat with it half zipped. It has 2 exterior pockets and 2 internal pockets. Personally I wouldn’t put too much in these, as I can really feel the thing stretch and drag down. Just gloves, hat, phone etc. should be fine, nothing like a can of soda or something. Water resistance is what you expect for thin nylon stuff, a few drops is fine, actual rain, get an umbrella or an actual waterproof layer. It’s also pretty windproof, took it out in the aftermath of a pseudo hurricane and didn’t feel the wind.It packs down pretty well into a 6 inch long 3 inch or so bundle but nothing like the high tech hiking stuff, I just wish there was a shorter loop so I can carabiner it to my pack easier but seems like it was intended to be carried like an umbrella. Also wish it packed into itself rather than have a bag which may get lost one day. The material imo isn’t very durable, I have no rips yet, but I’m not confident and think if I rub on something the wrong way it’s going to tear. The stitching seems fine so far, and doesn’t seem to be leaking filler yet.Sizing wise, I have a 45 chest and usually wear XL, but this is kinda big even for an XL, maybe because they were antiicpating you layer something like a thick sweater underneath. It is also a bit long for my torso, about 2-3 inches more than I need to sit at my waist. I have 23 sleeves and that fits perfect.I don’t expect this to last a long time, but it’s useful for the time I’ll have it.12/28 edit:So I just used this exactly for what I bought it for because of the huge winter storm that swept across the north and east coast US. Temps went from nearly 60 degrees in daytime all the way down to 23 by late afternooon with extremely high winds that were throwing doors around and knocked some street signs off their mounts, and it was perfect. I just had a t-shirt underneath and on top of this was a gymax waterproof windproof jacket. Again my only complain might be if the material doesn’t last and it’s a bit long.

Me gusto muchisimo la chamarra, es ligera, si es calientita, la probe a una temperatura de 7 o 8 grados y si proteje, me moje por accidente y si es impermeable, esperemos mas frio y las lluvias, a ver como se comporta

Tried on Puffer jackets at several stores and all were too small. Even men’s XL was not able to be worn.I am 5 10 just over 200 lbs and ordered an XL and fits great. My wife is wearing this one and loves it I ordered the same but with a hood. We are not out for extended periods of time but jackets seem to be warm enough. Price was reasonable and appears to be well made

I ordered the ‘tiger camo’ which is NOT as illustrated (at the time of writing the photo shows normal camo pattern – see my photo for the tiger camo pattern which is a smaller, subtler and slightly darker pattern). However it was on offer at £25 and at that price I’ll keep it. Excellent value for money. The jacket is very warm and comfortable. Very light weight. Fit is very slightly on the big side. I am a 42″ chest 6′ tall and large was perfect with room underneath for a couple of layers. Relaxed fit. Elastic at waist and cuffs. Comes with a matching stuff sack. Colour matched zips are good, and has two side zipped pockets which are of decent size. Has a deep inside pocket on both sides (no closures). Better quality than I was expecting and good value at £25.
