Definite Learning Curve
Bought this for a family vacation in PCB. Initial setup went well, or so I thought. 2 hours later, it fell over. Set it back up, then the winds came. I had to take it back down in order to prevent damage to the the poles. Out of frustration, I watched YouTube videos as to how to set it up. They definitely helped. Once the winds subsided, it worked fantastically well. Large coverage that allows lots of air flow. I believe the Sun Ninja would be a far superior product assuming their cost was the same. However, they are clearly not. If you are like me and on a budget, don’t hesitate to get this. Just ensure that you do your homework and watch as many tutorials as possible and also ensure that you practice as much as possible.Update: it’s unfortunate that I left this review after only trying the product once. After using it for 5 more days, here are some tips: 1) stretch the fabric more than you think is necessary. This will allow it to be much more sturdy. 2) fill the bags with more sand than you think should be needed. This will prevent one “foot” or another from sliding with the winds.I have updated my review to a 5 star review from a 4. I am very impressed with the price of the product as well as its ability to coverage a large area.

Easy setup, lightweight, very portable, durable, good shade, easy teardown.
Took this to the beach in Rocky Point, Mexico this weekend. We had steady 15-25 winds all weekend. I never once worried about it holding up. Just set the poles and let them work their way into the sand on their own. It makes them all the more sturdy. Also, the stakes provided are great, just not very long, so either bring longer ones for the sand, or dig down for harder sand. Set the sand-filled corner bags down in the hole and on top of the stakes, then tighten the guy wires. It stood strong in the wind, all day, all night!Set up was easy! I set it up Saturday morning, and took it down Sunday night, in the wind, with no help, by myself with no problem. The fabric hugs the ground and doesn’t blow away in the wind as you fill the corner bags with sand. The hardest part was figuring out for the first time how to prop it up with the poles, but just follow the directions. It’s not rocket science. Tear down and cleanup was especially easy. Finally, something you buy for the beach that you can actually stuff back in the carrying bag easily. One warning: Stray dogs will pee on the corner bags. Bring dog repellent and add it to the corner bags. Might help.

Only in zero wind
Sitting on beach with 5mph winds gusting to 15. Dug the corners into holes, lots of sand, stretched tight. The canopy blows up and down – you canât sit under it because it bashes your head. The material seems to stretch more and more so you keep moving the corners out. When the canopy billows up, the poles come apart or lift out of the sand and fall over. With movement, the poles get deeper and deeper in the sand, so you have to keep adjusting. Others have umbrellas etc. and no issues. Only good thing about this is the large shade area and itâs compact when packed up. However, I really would not try again on anything but the stillest of days.

The Beach Canopy That Fought Off Sunburns and Wind Like a Champion!
Ah, the Beach Canopy Beach Tentâmy trusty sidekick in the epic battle against sunburns and rogue beach winds! This 11×11 FT tent promises to be your ultimate sunscreen alternative, and let me tell you, it delivers like a sunburned lobster begging for aloe!First off, setup was easier than getting my friends to agree on lunch plans. I popped it open, and voilà ! I had a shady oasis that instantly turned my beach day from âHelp, Iâm melting!â to âLook at me, Iâm the lord of the sandcastle!â It even has UPF50+ protection, which made me feel like I was basically a human sunscreen. Now, letâs talk about wind. This tent stood up against gusts strong enough to take my beach ball on a joyride! I half-expected it to sprout legs and start running for the hills. It was so stable, I briefly considered signing it up for the next Olympic Games. Who knew a tent could have such commitment? As for sunburns? Well, I went from a pale potato to a sun-kissed marvel without the usual crispy aftermath. My friends even started gathering under my tent like moths to a flame, making me the beachâs unofficial social hub!If youâre ready to conquer the beach and keep your skin intact while dodging both sun and wind, this canopy is your new best friend. Just remember to bring snacks, because everyone will want to chill in your shade and youâll need to keep them happy while you all avoid becoming walking lobsters!

Not great for windy days.
Pole internal wire broke day 2, one guideline was missing from package. Needs 8 sandbags for stability in wind. Not great UV protection. Do like the light weight and ease of carrying and ease of set up.

Awesome Shade
I wasnât sure about purchasing this after reading some of the reviews but I figured I would try it for the price. We used it for 6 days straight while at the beach and it done great. Works way better than the umbrellas that we normally use. I didnât know if was going to work the first couple of days because the wind was 15-20 mph but it held up all day. Make sure to fill up the sand bags all the way and stretch it out tight before you install the poles. Once the poles were installed, I would pull the bags tight and bury the bags in the sand. Most simple and easiest shade you can put up with one person.

I was skeptical at first
The first time it was hard to assemble due to inexperience but I went to the beach a second time and assembled it pretty quickly and the tent stayed up all day.
