Not 8000 lumens, but much brighter than other $40 lights Iâve had
Am embarrassed to admit that in the past Iâve bought into the wild claims many companies make for their lights, like having 8000 lumens. In my defense, I donât know much about lumens. But the discussion in these reviews leads me to believe this one will go 1200, maybe 1600 Lumens?Lesson learned, this time I looked past ludicrous claims and read the reviews. Based on them it appeared this one would finally deliver enough light without having to spend more than $50, in this case $40.I love riding my ebike at night, little traffic and cool air!. But itâs dangerous if youâre doing 20-25mph and you canât see the potholes or debris on the road. In the past Iâve doubled up lights, which helped, but it still wasnât adequate. This light pretty much does it- I focus it on the road 15-20 feet in front of me, and my previous light I focus much closer, like 5-10 feet in front. The beam is nicely distributed at that range of focus, not too wide, not too narrow. One reviewer claimed it was as powerful as a car headlight- not! Not even close, maybe 1/4 as powerful, but Iâm not going 80mph either.Unlike other lights Iâve had (5 in the last 1.5 years), it goes from soft to medium to bright. I rarely use anything but bright, but the nice thing about this is it just takes one more click to turn it off. The other light Iâve got takes 5 clicks to get it to go off. Was nice they included a rear light, some of them donât- it works well.It doesnât have a laser light feature where a super intensely focused narrow beam of light flashes, piercing the daylight and makes you seen by drivers, but I donât know if any of the under $50 lights have that capability. It does however have a mode where it flashes their brightest light. Not as capable, but still will get you noticed in the daytime. It attached easily to my handlebars and for some reason they included two attaching brackets, maybe cause of failures? So far so good.Anyways- if I had the money, I donât, Iâd willingly pay $200 for a super bright light, itâd be worth it for the safety. But for $40 Iâve finally gotten something that is much brighter and safer for my ebike! Actually wanted to write this review because I was pleased. Have had 2 lights fail on me, other brands, so time will tell. When you buy cheap you canât always expect a long life! Iâm 2 weeks in on this one, will report if it fails!

I couldn’t be happier
Vastfire is a game changer.Remember in the late 90âs when you had to pay $200+ for a decent bicycle light from one of the 3 companies that were in that market and one of them actually looked like an Erector Set? Vintage bikes = cool Vintage bike lights = not so much! This 1200 lumen light has so much going on, especially for the money.VERSATILITY: 2 handlebar mounts AND dedicated GoPro mount lets you move the light from bike to bike and since Vastfire uses that same âslide and clickâ mounting that all of their lights have used, means that itâs all interchangeable no matter which generation you may already have. I have several smaller Vastfire lights so Iâd actually love to purchase a few more GoPro mounts so I could just move them on all of our helmets and leave them. Hopefully customer service will be able to help me with that. With 2 different beam patterns that can be turned on together or individually and 3 power levels this light pretty tunable to whatever you need. With its USB output it can even double as a phone charger and makes it a very capable flashlight for most uses as well.BRIGHNESS: Even on the lowest setting , each of the beam patterns are good enough to see and be seen for most neighborhood riding with the kiddos. The fact that you can turn both beams on and still have those 3 levels is genius and at that highest setting on dual beam mode it creates instant daylight. This thing is capable of providing enough illumination for 25+ mph E-bike speeds although the run time will be obviously shorter.RUN TIME: I normally run mine in spot mode at the highest level and at the end of a 2-3 hour ride Iâve never seen it below 55%. Unfortunatly I havenât done a full âdual-beam instant daylightâ test but have run it that way for 90 minutes several times and had plenty left to go back down to a single high beam. Realistically, both beams at high is overkill for most of the riding I do but I love knowing its there if I need it.Iâll always love a 1995 hardtail mountain bike with cantilever brakes and 26â, just make sure you upgrade it with a Vastfire LED !

No Documentation, Will Not Charge USB-C Devices
These lights function very, very well. Bright and decent battery life. There are only two drawbacks:1. No documentation available with the package or online. Documentation is necessary to save an hour trying to figure out why…2. ..it will NOT charge USB-C devices despite having a USB-C port. The lights lack a chip to ‘negotiate’ with an attached device device and determine which pin charges. It will not charge nor receive a charge from a USB-C device. It will only charge/receive charge non-USB-C devices using the supplied adapter cable. It is also puzzling why it comes with both a plastic and metal mount. Not sure why anyone would use the plastic.

Very Satisfied
I have the Max 2000 lumen model, but most of the time I do not ride in max mode. Plenty bright for my night rides. Illuminates cat, possum, and racoon eyes very good. Easy to recharge. I would buy again.

Great product with excellent customer service
I’ve been using this bike light for almost a year, and it’s been fantastic. The light itself is top-notch, with an amazing metal chassis that feels incredibly durable. My only minor issue is the light mount’s durability, but it’s not a big deal since they initially provide two mounts and offer a free lifetime warranty, which I recently had to use. Customer service promptly sent me two more after I requested a replacement when my previous mount, which held up for about a year, broke. Overall, it is a great product with excellent support!

Bought as a second light to use on a 35mm mtb bar, as my old one didn’t fit, there’s no way you can fit that light on a 35mm without damaging the bar.Used it twice in cold weather around -10C and battery life seems to suffer from the cold.Tried the boost mode on the second ride and after maybe 10 minutes the light got by itself out of that mode and from there the battery was draining pretty fast.Product title is false advertising, clearly it is not the best headlight for me.Never will buy again

Seems decent quality made light, but don’t be fooled by the blaze of light in the picture.. that must have been from the main beam of the car behind… in reality, wouldn’t even light up the disused railway tunnel we use on one of our rides… dissapointed..
