   Perfect. Not cheap, but worth it. Awesome thing for us old dudes. And my daughter is jealous.
   This is really well designed. I was a little leery of the single-tap to change brightness, and it is occasionally the only thing that I have an issue with, but it’s minor and if you’re careful about it, it’s very handy. The brightness is great, the battery life is great, the lock mechanism is really well thought out, the flexibility is fantastic and the less commonly used light options are just hard enough to use that you don’t wind up with them accidentally all the time, but can find them quickly and intuitively when you need them.And this thing has been a blessing as I’m older and I tend to need something to shed some extra light on lots of the things I’m doing. Granted ANY light could do this, but I’m very happy with this selection.I was also amused to find out my daughter- who has another light- was like “Oooo! Black diamond! I want one of theirs!” I don’t understand this since she bought the one she has, but maybe she’s not as amazing of a product researcher as I am since I bought this as my first ever headlight. 🙂

   Great product and definitely recommend.
   Ordered this light after losing power with hurricane Helene in Florida and it came in clutch for hurricane Milton. Super bright and lasts a long time. Also, love being able to recharge the batteries. A bit pricey for a headlamp but well worth the money in my opinion.

   Excellent
   It just works. It stays put, puts out exactly as much light as I want in the colors that I want, it lasts long enough to do what I need to do and I don’t have to worry about carrying extra batteries. I use them for running, auto work, computer repair, aircraft preflight…you name it.

   Awesome headlamp
   I use this for night fishing and is super bright and has the red,blue and green light as well. I really like the fact that it’s rechargeable and a full charge last a long time.

   Great light!!
   I’m wondering how I ever got along without it!! It’s great to have access to a bright, long-lasting, hands-free, light source when playing motorcycle mechanic in my poorly lit garage. I charged it when it arrived and haven’t had to charge it since despite using it fairly frequently over the last few weeks. I have not measured the actual time of use, but it seems to hold a charge for a good long while. The light level adjustability just works and I love that it can be locked in the power off position to prevent accidentally turning it on while in your bag. I also love being able to wave my hand on the side of the unit for instant max brightness. It is light weight enough to be hardly noticeable on my head. Buttons are fairly intuitive and the unit appears to be very well constructed. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

    Como era de esperarse de Black Diamond, esta lámpara es simplemente maravillosa en su funcionamiento, las luces son muy brillantes y la batería muy duradera.Probada a más de 5 mil metros sobre el nivel del mar en un volcán, en el hielo y nieve. Muy resistente y sin ningún problema.Las luces verde, azul y roja ayudan para identificar ciertos objetos en la oscuridad y en específico la luz roja para no encandilarte y conservar más tu visión nocturna.Funciona en modo estroboscópico y en señal SOS, muy útil para alguna eventualidad.No le doy 5 estrellas por que la entrada de carga aún es micro USB y no tipo C como desearía, pero además de eso es una pieza imprescindible en mi equipo de montañismo y expedición .

    Bit of a long story this……. tried to purchase this Storm 500-R direct from Black Diamond on their website but encountered errors in that it would not accept my address and said it could not deliver to the address I input. I gave up and ‘paid the extra’ to purchase it through Amazon. (Yes it would have been cheaper direct from Black Diamond. Anyway, received item and immediately found the very short charging cable was faulty in some way as it would not charge the torch. I did have other cables that worked, but I had paid for a cable and wanted one that worked. This suggests issues with manufacture / quality control, so I returned item to Inglesport – at which point I found out I HAD TO PAY RETURN POSTAGE – for a defective item. You are having a laugh???? So, I have no faith in Black Diamond and little belief in Inglesport. I am now out of pocket for a rubbish product I have returned.
