Died a month after 2 year warranty expired
What I liked about this shaver was that I got a good close shave assuming i had not skipped a day shaving. The shaver does not handle 2 days of facial hair growth well. I bought an inexpensive triple head philips rotary shaver that will cut down 2 days+ of facial hair and would use the Braun then to give me a really good close shave. The Philips does not give a really close shave but cuts down long hair very well compared to the Braun Series 7. If you shave every day, you may find this shaver works fine. If you are someone with really fast growing facial hair, this also might not be a great choice. I suspect that shaver design forces a company to optimize a limited set of hair conditions and you have to decide on what is important to you and what you can live with for weaknesses when picking a shaver.I liked how easy it was to clean this out and the fact it is not sensitive to water if used in the shower. I used blade oil on the blades every time i cleaned it and that seems to have kept the blades very sharp. I never used the automatic cleaning system that came with this shaver as I suspected that approach with water and no oil might shorten the blade

Good shave
Quality shaver made in Germany, A bit noisy but cuts really well. Haven’t tried all the different shaving heads but one gripe is no cutter guard is provided to keep foil from damage. Separate head provided for trimming sideburns and beard.

Series 7 with Self Cleaner and Charging Stand. Excellent
I first bought a Braun Electric shaver in 1968 because it was so highly rated. It was a great purchase and I continued with Braun as I replaced shavers over the years because they were always well engineered, reliable and did an excellent job. Looking at the cost for their 9 series – $250 to $350 – was off putting. So I looked at their full range to see if they had a more affordable option. The 7 series with three speeds – gentle – normal – Turbo was far more in line at $140 and had great reviews. Less bells and whistles on the technology but still gives a great shave. I found an option which included the basic. self cleaning and charging stand. – which I highly recommend vs using hot water and soap. You just pop off the blade cartridge and brush out the trimmings. Same with and top of the razor. Clip it back on and put the razor in the stand, press the button and walk away until your next shave. The stand uses a reservoir cartridge which is easy to load and replace and available on Amazon. I use the razor for my face and head. It takes me about 5 minutes and requires several passes for a clean shave, but well worth taking the time. Highly Recommend the Braun Series 7.

Upgraded from a 5 year old Series 6 and this is night and day better. Slim design, great battery and attachments. So efficient I can shave in 3 or 4 minutes and it’s not far off a wet razer shave closeness. The Dock is well designed compared to my old one that had connection problems. I hope this lasts another 5 years!

I guess shaver preference is a personal choice. But for me, I feel this provide the cleanest and least irritation among the different types of shavers Iâve tried (namely Gillette Shavers, and Philips rotary shavers)

Might be the contour of my neck but seems to do a bad job of getting the neck area. Overall itâs fine considering I had a decent deal on Black Friday.
