Replaced my Brita Pitcher with this (a comparison)
I got this to replace a Brita pitcher, which simply was not very practical for my needs, with too small of a capacity. I will provide more specifics on this later in the review.Elite vs. Standard Filter: I selected Brita Elite (Blue Filter) as this removes lead, and some other chemicals, in addition to improving flavor, they . You can interchangeably use the Elite (Blue) and Standard (White) Brita Filters, however, the Standard (White) filters do not remove lead, and have a shorter lifespan. The Elite (Blue) filters last for 6 months, and the Standard (White) for 2. Price-wise, the Elite (Blue) filters are worth the price due to longevity alone, and when you add in the lead and other chemical reduction, it is an obvious choice. Taste is very similar between the two.Brita makes a third filter option that is not compatible with this dispenser or the pitcher, the Brita Stream. That technology is for specific Stream filters the water as you use it, and is simply a taste filter, it does not remove lead and other chemicals. I specifically wanted lead reduction, and did not consider this option.Dispenser vs. Pitcher:I think the Dispenser is 100% the way to go. The pitcher presents a lot of challenges and limitations. For reference, I have the Brita Large Pitcher with Elite Filter listed here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QG9Q9PB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1The pitcher is very problematic. The biggest limitation is the size. It has a very small capacity. If you are filling up water bottles, even large glasses, you will constantly have to refill this. The big reason I got a pitcher/dispenser was to have cold water, and it really ruins that when you have to refill frequently. The pre-filter reservoir only holds around 1500mL of water, which is just over half the capacity. One big issue is that you really cannot use the pitcher if there is water in the pre-filter reservoir as it just runs over the top. The prefilter reservoir also takes up a third of the pitcher’s volume, so there is less space. The pitcher, with a handle also really takes up a lot of fridge space, and surprisingly not that much less compared to the larger dispenser.By contrast, the dispenser is a great form factor. It does take up some extra space, but it is narrower, does not have a bulky handle, and is a little shorter (I would consider this or the smaller 18-cup reservoir over the pitcher). My household can go most days without needing to refill, meaning colder water. The pre-filter reservoir holds about 2 liters of water, but importantly, the dispenser is usable while filtration is happening. You also can have the pre-filter reservoir full with the main (post-filter) reservoir also full, allowing for an increased capacity.

Love the size and slim design
The size fits well in the fridge. Love the filtering, cannot taste chlorine-ish public water. I put it on edge of the fridge shelf to use the dispenser. However, some may want to use some sort of stand to elevate the container to allow for the height of cups or use a ledge. It filters fairly quickly, easy to fill. I use this for filtered water for my 8 cups coffee in the morning and there is still plenty left for the family to use. I also have a smaller version for my rv.

Great product, fits well, first one had damage.
First product leaked/ had tiny crack. However very easy direct exchange and got me new product so fast that works great! so excited to actually have cold filtered water! So far tastes much better than our tap water we wanted the added lead filtration so we went with the Elite filter.

Fresh tasting water and nice design…
Exactly the size I need for my family, including the two furbabies. While the filter replacements are a bit pricey, they do last a pretty long time depending on how many times you refill the unit. The bonus is that the Max Elite filters are still rated for lead/heavy metal removal.

Perfect for city water…
My mum loves in the city and this keeps her from having to lug jugs of water home. It’s perfect for her needs and the filters are easy to find. She loves the water and it fits in her fridge perfectly.

Great product. Very high quality. The water was good tasting and very high quality even without the unit being in the fridge.I accidentally knocked the unit to the ground while I was filling it at the sink, and despite it being completely full of water, the unit was barely chipped. Water leaked onto the floor â but only slowly, and Nathal from the amazing customer service replied within 24 hours to give me a $50 CAD refund, which is more than enough to fill the damage with food safe resin or buy a similar model. I feel very lucky that the Brita team was there to improve my week even though my clumsiness was at fault.

The size of the water dispenser not as what it is described. I was shocked to note that it is relatively smaller – few inches smaller in term of width, height n long of the product. I noted this because I have bought a stand supposed to fit the size of this product but eventually turn out to be too big. And only later I found that the size is smaller than what it supposed to be . Terrible !
