Compact and easy to carry.
I am not a hiker, I used this simply for camping. I wanted something that took up less space in my camping supplies than traditional kitchen essentials. Camping with 4 kids takes up a lot of space simply in sleeping bags, so a compact solution was my desire. The pans were just big enough for practical use, and small enough to prevent food wastage due to making too much. The ladel was perfect for measuring pancake batter. The bowls…well, if you only eat a 1/4 cup of soup, or are a toddler, they would work. pots and pans were great, dishes and bowls, they “work” but I wished there were more of the larger ones and fewer of the smaller ones. A separate set of plates and bowls are on my list for next time, they were just too small, especially for the adults and larger kids. They’d work if there were no other options. Everything cleaned up and stored away nicely for use next time. So, I would rate this as a great set for a family with small kids, or those who don’t mind going back for seconds and thirds. Nice set that I will continue to use for each camping trip from here on out.

Just received this cook set today
Fir the price point these are an excellent first set by the looks of the product. It comes packed in a nice blue cinch bag. You should not expect these pans to be the same quality as what you would buy for your kitchen as the metal is thinner. I canât speak to how well they cook or how well the teflon coating is until I get them put to use. So far I am very happy with my purchase as it is my first camp cookware set and it all looks to be good quality so far. I prefer the plastic plates and bowls over the metal ones because the metal plates get too hot on my lap from my past experience with those. I honestly canât say these plates will be much better because they are very thin however they are rigid enough that I will try them out. I plan on buying new plastic plates and utensils from wally world so I can get exactly what I want. I mostly bought this set for the pot and fry pan.I bought the 2L set and it is perfect for one ore two people to cook with. I may upgrade them later but for now they definitely will meet my camping needs.I should also mention they are thinner metal probably to help keep the weight down for hiking with. I would definitely hike with this set although the 1L set would probably be better for that purpose. I am more of the overland camper so this 2L set is perfect for my needs.

Lightweight backpack travel cookware
I’m in love with this affordable and lightweight travel pots and pans set. The skillet didn’t like being used for scrambled eggs (a bit sticky), but no problem, we just switched to soft-boiled eggs. We heated canned foods, fried sausage, made pour-over coffee, hot tea, and more. It’s so lightweight that I carried it on a flight in my smallish backpack to a campground in Hawaii. Highly recommend. p.s. The little white spatula helps with cooking and serving, but also to clean up any stuck food by scraping gently.

Same quality as big name brands
A big on the bulk side but if 2 or more are going backpacking and are tired of eating out of a pouch this is definitely it

Looked perfect, but didn’t work out
This is my very first negative review on Amazon, but I just wanted people to be aware of somethings before purchasing this set. We bought this for our camping trip with hopes of backpacking soon. After reading some reviews, we thought it would be perfect! We ended up using it only 2 days out of the 3 day trip because we were super annoyed by it. I’m giving it 3 stars because in the end, it is a set of lightweight pots/pans for backpacking with everything pictured. I’m docking 2 points for size and not being very efficient.PROS:- Lightweight! You could easily take this backpacking.- Everything does stack nicely in a convenient carry bag.CONS:- We’re a family of 4 + a baby. Only 2 of us went camping and the pots/pans were on the smaller side. I’m not sure how this is for 2-4 people. The family next to us had a different “backpacking” set like this for 2-4 people and their pots/pans were significantly bigger.- The tea kettle turns BLACK. We have a coleman stove, so I’m not sure why it kept doing this. That wasn’t the annoying part though….the annoying part was it turned EVERYTHING black. We have buckets for our “sink” and those were black, our hands would turn black, our sponge turned black, which turned everything else black. I had to keep rewashing things. We kept the tea kettle wrapped in paper towels to prevent other things from getting black.-The bowls are WAY too small. They’re the same size as a sauce dipping bowl at a restaurant.- Our food stuck to each pot/pan. We used olive oil for squash, eggs, and tried cooking Spam. We even tried “seasoning” the pan after we noticed everything sticking, but that didn’t work. It was frustrating.

Itâs a shame because it looked like it couldâve been great. Will buy another to give it a second chance but itâs a hassle to return and I still had to incur in expenses (printing labels etc).
