Slightly smaller in diameter than its previous iteration
I have used a couple of Podium water bottles for years and they finally got funky enough that even I got disgusted so I bought new ones. First thing I noticed was that the diameter of the bottles is a bit smaller than the original model, and this made for a looser fit in the dedicated water bottle pocket of my gym bag. The new ones also seem to seep just a bit around the valve when I take a drink. Still an excellent water bottle, with the advantage that you don’t have to futz with a valve or cap whenever you take a sip.

I would buy this bottle again for cycling.
Update: I have the newer version, I have the standard aluminum water bottle cage (2 different brands), and they hold this bottle great. I do mostly trail and road riding (so paved surfaces but some are rather bumpy). I bought another bottle I love this bottle so much. My wife took a little adjusting to but she also loves it now. The outside gets a little dirty, ice melts super quickly but I don’t mind room temperature water. This bottle wins my heart with the squeeze, it’s so easy to get some water out of this bottle.I bought this for cycling and I love it. I had a screw top bottle which required me to fully stop to drink and took additional time. Definitely recommend this bottle. I have a few other brands coming (slightly cheaper) but for now this is my favorite bottle. Easy squeeze to get a good gulp of water. I just leave it unlocked and it doesn’t leak, also fits my trek standard bottle cage perfectly fine. I do stick mainly to the trails but I ride over roads and a little grass with no issues.Update: I tried another kind of water bottle. The lock is easier to use since you can do it with your teeth, but it’s not as easy to squeeze as this bottle the other bottle does hold 3 ounces more but I’d rather have this water bottle.

I didn’t need insulated bottles so other than keeping things super cold I love these podiums they are small and light and in the open position they don’t leak much if at all for me

I switched to the insulated bottles. The single walled bottles sweat and become slippery. These look good too.

Perfect Water Bottle
I have used several water bottles in the past, but this one had three features that fit my needs perfectly: (1) It fit the holder for my bicycle (2) There was no strange plastic smell or taste, especially if I just used it for water (3) The squirting mechanism works great! Did not have to open the cap or unscrew any cap. Great bottle

Good quality but too narrow!
They are well made bottles and the height is perfect for my extra small road bike. I donât like that they are narrower than previous camelback water bottles so they flop around in the water bottle cage. Iâm keeping them because I need a short bottle but the width is disappointing!
