Better Than Expected
PROS:This is a great tent for the price point! Iâve only ever bought more expensive name-brand tents, and this seems comparable in most ways. I donât see too much of a difference. The seams are sturdy and it has all the features you would expect like windows that open, a gear loft, etc. The floor feels tougher than my backpacking tents, but still light, which I love. Some people have complained about the zippers, but I feel they are typical for a lighter weigh tent. The pricey backpacking tents Iâve purchased have the same types of zippers. It goes up like any dome tent, so pretty fast and easy. Just two crisscrossing bars that go in sleeves.Love that itâs free-standing (but do stake it or weigh it down for wind reasons). Like any free-standing tent, you get a little more space and stability if you stake it out.For a four-person tent, itâs smaller and lighter than expected! I got this for car camping and I was expecting it to be beastly like an old coleman tent, but it was pretty small and light. Not for backpacking, but it wonât take up too much space in your trunk.Cons:The smaller center pole is really confusing and the directions are almost non-existent. I had to come back to the pictures here to figure out that it goes across the rainfly (front to back) creating the little porch overhang. There are pockets for each end and you have to put the pole into the rainfly before attaching it to the tent. My center pole was too long, so it doesnât sit in the center, but bends awkwardly to one side. Still works though.I will also say, the poles seem flimsy. I guess the material is fiberglass, but it looks and feels like wood that could easily snap. Weâll see if they hold up.I saw some complaints about getting the tent into the bag. I didnât have too much trouble. Lay out the tent and fly together and fold the edges until itâs a little less than the width of the bag. Then, just roll it up, pressing out air and brushing off dirt as you go. Thereâs a little bit of difficulty, not because the bag is too small, but because the bag design is flawed. You need to be able to stuff a tent, and the way the zipper wraps around the side makes it really hard to stuff because the zipper keeps wanting to open. I might use a regular stuff sack instead. All in all, I think this is a really great tent for the price and the issues are very minor. Highly recommend!

Nice tent!
I havenât camped with this yet, but I wanted to add some photos and initial impressions. I like that the floor and pole sleeve fabric (same on both) is a bit heavier duty than the tent body. They included bungee cord on the lower rainfly tie outs, which was nice. I was pleasantly surprised by the pockets on the ceiling, in addition to the expected lantern hook, gear loft, and 2 side wall pockets. I wish the rain fly attached with buckles, but it has the bungee & hook setup that is common on budget-friendly tents. One thing I havenât encountered in any other tent is the fabric ties on the underside of the rainfly instead of Velcro loops to secure it to the poles. Velcro is easier since it doesnât require the ability to see what youâre doing. I didnât tie them, but I will when I camp and I suspect tying that many knots or bows will be frustrating. I might rig up something else if I can come up with a simple fix to improve it.The tent is a really nice size and Iâm definitely planning to test it out in the rain, so Iâll update my review once I find out how that goes. I chose it to a large degree because of the dimensions, straighter sidewalls, and water resistance specs.I noticed a lot of reviews said it was impossible to fit it back in the case, so I made a special effort to try and I did get it back in the bag. Thereâs almost always a particular way a tent needs to be folded and rolled to make that work. In this case, I found that folding it into thirds and then in half again (all lengthwise) makes the width about equal (or hopefully a little less than) the length of the poles. Then I folded it basically in half lengthwise, but not exactlyâ¦I always keep the top layer shorter. At this point I laid the rainfly on top (folded so it didnât really stick out past the tent width), poles, and stakes, and rolled the folded end of the tent towards the open end to squeeze out the air. The rainfly, etc got rolled into the tent burrito. Fits in the bag!! Still a bit snug and I wish they would have left a little extra space + extra length on the compression straps. The design of the bag is really cool. They just werenât quite generous enough with the sizing. But itâs a small tentâ¦another bag would be easy to find if I decide Iâd rather have an easier time packing it up.Edit:Got a chance to use the tent and Iâve found that it works best to fold the door and window sides (front and back) inward rather than the sides. Since itâs 9×7, the 7 foot side being folded in 1/3s then 1/2 works out just right. Folding the 9 foot side first is harder to fit back into the bag. Also, it seems to me that the floor dimensions are about 6â short. At least it doesnât seem to be 84â from front to back. My exped megamat lxw fit without much room to spare from end to end. I was counting on 84â because I knew the mat was a bit longer than most. Great tent, but be aware that it may be a touch smaller than the dimensions claim. I really like how well the rain fly covers, for insulation, not just rain. We used it in cold weather and put a reflective tarp over the top under the rain fly. Still had enough ventilation to prevent condensation and to be able to run a mr buddy heater or something, but easy to reduce drafts. Itâs a bit adjustable on how much ventilation you need. Just stake out the bungee cords on each side more or less for either scenario. I also realized it would work great to cut a Mylar blanket into a couple pieces that could be zipped in between the door and window screens to keep the interior even warmer without sacrificing all of the ventilation. I imagine it would be excellent in hot weather, too, since it does have quite a bit of mesh. Just not so much that itâs impossible to keep warm when needed.

Great for 2 tight for 3 and 4 is ???
My grandson and I camped with the tent this past weekend and the tent was great. Assembly is easy but it does take longer than 5 minutes. Plenty of room for 2 but I wouldn’t put any more people. That is just my opinion.

Tent is a Champ!
This tent surpassed my expectations! I replaced an older tent and wanted one that would keep me dry after a previous downpour. This tent was easy to set up and kept us dry through a 4 hour rainstorm (see video and photos). Throughly impressed with the tent and rain fly. For as bad as the downpour was, the corners were mostly dry and of course the roof held up like a champ. We fit two cots in it too. One thing I wished it had was a more tarp like floor, which is why I put a tarp inside to keep the cot feet from poking through. This is the first tent I ever was able to roll up and put right back in the bag, which is very compact and easy to carry. I highly recommend this tent!

It lasts a long time, even in the sun
This is a great tent! No, it is not a heavy duty tent, hence the low price, but it is durable. I have had this tent up for over six months in my backyard. It has been very sunny and hot here, and our had become faded but had held up this whole time. I like this particular tent also for how open it is without the rain fly, as I like to look out at the stars. Other tents have solid panels to obscure the view. With the rainfly on, however, this tent is too covered, with only two windows available. But the rainfly is rarely needed in the summer here. Great tent!

Awesome!
For 50 bucks Iâm happy! This is the 2 person. It can fit two adults or multiple little kids lol. SO easy to setup!! We bought this for our large dog crate for when we camp so she has her own space and plenty of ventilation, and for our kiddos for sleeping in our yard!
