Love this straightening brush
I love this brush. It heats up in a timely manner. It is well built. This baby has some weight to it. Iâve had other straightening irons and curling irons that were as cheap as the prices I paid for them. Yep, Iâm cheap when money is tight. I love purple.. I tend to be drawn to products that are purple or pink. If you were to look at my wardrobe, you would see that the majority of the tops I wear are pink or purple. I have things in other colors, but most of them are in one shade or another of these two colors. I guess I like them both because theyâre in the same Spectrum. The purple accents on this brush made it very aesthetically pleasing to me. What I like best of all though is itâs cordless. Iâm 60 years old. Many years past I used a curling iron almost every day. That was when I was in my teens. Off and on until my early 40âs I used a curling iron that had the clip to hold your hair against the barrel. There were spells where I didnât use it very often and then there were periods where I used it all the time.My last curling iron that had a clip was one I had for quite a few years. . It lasted a long time, but eventually it started not heating as well and then it just quit working altogether. II looked for another one and when Idid hardly any of them had the clip to hold your hair in place around the barrel.. Iâm sure they still make them and sell them somewhere. Itâs been at least 15 years since I looked at curling and straightening irons, but when I did look, it was hard to find the ones with the clip. Truthfully, I donât have a lot of patience for shopping. I do most of it online. My patience is too low for me to look for a long time. Iâm sure someone else may have better luck than me in that regard. It didnât help that Iâve been a little leery about shopping online at places that I didnât know anything about. Most of my shopping is limited to a handful of big name stores like Amazon and some department stores.Iâm sure youâve all heard the saying you canât teach an old dog new tricks and it seemed to be the case for me. I tried straightening irons and I tried curling irons without the clip, and I just kept burning myself. I have a tendency to be a little clumsy. No matter how much I tried I couldnât get the hang of the curling iron without the clip. There wasnât one time I tried wrapping my hair around it that I didnât get burned. I know now that they make gloves that you can use for that but at the time I didnât know it and I gave up.When I saw this straightening brush, I remembered that Iâd had one in my early 20s and I had really liked it. I requested Amazon to send it to me. Not very long ago at all after leaving a review I got an invitation from Amazon to join Amazon Vine. If youâre not already aware, itâs a program that Amazon has where you can request certain products in exchange for an honest review. Iâm trying to give you the most honest review that I can. That said I am not a patient shopper and I didnât look long. It doesnât help that Iâm slightly paranoid about online shopping. I wonât shop at stores that arenât big names. I know things can still go wrong, but I feel a little safer that way. That limited the places that I looked, which didnât help in my search for a curling iron that had a clip.I ended up getting one without the clip and I kept burning myself so I gave it to my daughter because for me it was useless. Iâm a little on the clumsy side. When I saw this brush, I remembered that Iâve had a straightening brush years ago and that I had liked it so I thought let me give this a try. Iâm so glad I did because I didnât realize when I selected it that it was cordless. That makes it a lot easier for someone who is just a little clumsy like me to maneuver.I have only used it twice, so I canât say much more about it beyond what I have but one of the other things I liked about it is my hair has a tendency to break off and to fall out. Because of that I have a lot of little pieces of hair that one is stick up. My hair is long. Itâs about an inch and a half below the bottom of my bra strap in the back. In 2002 I had gastric bypass surgery and because of it I have issues with malabsorption. That affects my hair greatly. I try using water to smooth little short hairs that want to stick up and the fly aways. Iâve used wax and hairspray and none of them keep them down for very long. This straightening brush worked so much better.I havenât found any negatives so far. If I do Iâll come back and update this review. The way the brush was packaged was nice. It came in a nice box wrapped in cellophane. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was a velvet or what looked like velvet bag to store the brush in. I appreciated that because it was so pretty and it will help to keep it from getting scratched. Also came packaged very nicely. There was a charging cord in the box and I feel that the box will be handy in saving space when it comes to putting it away when Iâm done. For me that will make less of a chance that I lay the cord somewhere and then canât find it..When it arrived it was raining quite a bit. Thanks to the cellophane the box wasnât ruined. If not for the cellophane the box would have been ruined by the time I realized it had been delivered and went out to get it, but that rapper saved it and thatâll make it a lot easier to store as well. Anyway. These are my thoughts. Iâm not an expert and forgive me for any type of graphical or errors in grammar and spelling.

Convenient to use
This is a nice straightening brush. When I brush my hair with it (after it has been turned on) I can see my hair being straightened almost instantly. The best way to do this is to straighten a small section at a time, rather than brushing your hair randomly. One thing that I’m a little disappointed in is its ability to reduce frizz. That doesn’t seem to be working too well. The instruction booklet says that there’s an “IONIC WORKING INDICATOR” which is that the top status light ion illuminates blue. This status never changes to blue on my unit so possibly the ionic function isn’t working. The controls on this unit are very easy to use. You press on the power button to turn it on and then to cycle through the temperature settings. It’s simple and intuitive and I almost didnt need to even see the instructions. (You should always read the instructions at least once on any device like this.) A nice feature is the lock. You need to unlock the unit before it will start heating and if you lock it when the unit is on the lock will turn off the unit. This is a great safety featur because it prevents the device from accidentally being turned on.What I like the most about this hair straightening brush is the fact that it’s cordless. Using it is so much more convenient than using a corded device because I don’t have to worry if there’s an available electric outlet near a mirror or worry about the length of the cord keeping me in one place, etc. etc. This straightening brush can be used anywhere. You can take it with you while you are on the go (car, ladies room, etc) and don’t have to worry about available outlets.A downside to this convenience is that the straightening brush is a little heavy because it contains a battery. The weight also isn’t balanced too well, with more of the weight being on the brush side. This puts a little strain on my arm when I’m using it.

Easy, holds a charge, convenient.
I got good results using this on my thick and wavy hair (which has a Type 2B curl pattern.) The key is to go in small sections so it can do its job well! This tool gave me a smooth look and took some of the chaos out of my tresses in a mere matter of minutes, and because the brush bristles grip and hold the hair as you go like a normal hairbrush would, I think it’s a lot easier to use than a flat iron (which requires more finesse in how you hold, section, and create tension in the hair.)The cordless design makes it easy to grab and use anywhere; I don’t have a lot of power outlets in my bathroom where I do my hair, so that matters a lot to me! I feel it holds a charge well. The battery lasts for more than an hour, so with the amount I use this and how quickly it works, I only end up needing to charge it about once a week.No straightening brush will give you the same ultra-slick flat look as a full-on flat iron, so it might not do for the cover of Vogue magazine, but this tool is up to the task for my daily styles. Just use small sections and let this do the job for you! It’s not cheap, but when it comes to hair care I know that cheaper tools can cause more damage, so I am glad to have this proper ionic tool instead of something less sophisticated. I’m really happy with it, and the velvet carrying pouch helps keep it clean between uses.
