Great purchase
This jacket works really well and for the price it’s a no-brainer. It’s lightweight, but actually keeps you dry, unlike other lightweight jackets that claim to be raincoats but are really just windbreakers. Fits true to size and is a good shell that can fit layers underneath. I bought this because I had previously purchased the Marmot Precip jacket from here, looking for a quality lightweight raincoat. But like other people have stated, it doesn’t take very long at all for the inner lining of the Marmot Precip to start to disintegrate and flake off. I don’t know if it’s just poorly made, which seems weird for a Marmot product, or if it’s a counterfeit? This Eddie Bauer jacket has a mesh lining and you can tell it’s way better quality than the Marmot. If you’re looking for a good raincoat that is affordable, built well and is genuine (Eddie Bauer is the listed seller) then you can’t do much better than this one.

Long sleeves if you donât mind!
Quality of jacket is on par, and itâs truly a great jacket for a great price. The overall design is beautiful, however being 5â10 has its disadvantages. I compared it to my other XL Cinch windbreaker and this one is at least 4â longer on the sleeves. Not a complete deal breaker but a slight disadvantage: The sleeves are too long for an XL size and more built for men over 6â2 tall and long sleeves. My recommendation is to get the large if you are under 220lbs and under 6âft tall the fit will be a little snug but will look better than a jacket that was clearly made for taller people.

It’s an Eddie Bauer
This is a very comfortable rain jacket. Nice light weight clean look. It packs up easily and doesn’t get wrinkles. I just wish it was a smidge longer, but that’s just a personal preference.

I purchased this because of the Eddie Bauer name and good reviews. Also I liked the stow away hood that most do not have. The stow away makes it look more like a jacket than a raincoat, so it looks better doing double duty on a trip. The fit was great. The only complaint was that it does not breathe so well. But realistically to get a waterproof jacket that breathes really well you need to spend another $100. So for the money it is a really good value. FYI it self packs in one of its pockets.

I’ve been searching another waterproof jacket since Nike discontinued their product. I found this, tried & tested. The material is even good during cold months. Definitely recommended!

Jacket came in timely fashion. I like the quality in view of what I paid. I got a Large (I have a waist size of 38in) and was contemplating an XL. Fortunately, I did not- the actual size was slightly roomier than expected as the designers probably factored that the user would put on additional layers below. Other than that, I like that the hood can be stowed in the collar. Did not quite like the velcro on the overlap- guess it’s more for functionality.
