   it’s good!
   it looks as if most of the other reviews are knocking the scent…it’s not my favorite but it really is not bad at all. i definitely smell some citrus to it, but i can’t quite put my finger on what else it smells like. but it is not a strong scent, and a clean scent. elemis is one of my favorites when it comes to skincare, and this did not disappoint. i personally prefer to use this in the shower rather than a handwash, but you can choose to do either, or. i like to switch up my body washes with every shower, but this one leaves me feeling so squeaky clean that i’ve been using it a bit more. you get a nice size bottle, which is refillable which is nice to see elemis doing.

   Luxurious!
   This feels so luxurious, especially if you just use it as a hand soap. I really like the scent, it smells like a fancy spa. It lathers fine and my skin doesn’t feel too itchy or dry afterwards. I will say that when it arrived in the mail it had leaked a little bit, making everything sticky. A quick rinse fixed things, it hadn’t leaked too much of the actual product. I’m not sure I’d buy again as it is kind of expensive, but I’ll enjoy using it while I have it and pretending I’m in some fancy hotel spa in London.

   Moisturizing body wash
   ELEMIS Mayfair No.9 Hand & Body Wash smells good, and leaves my skin feeling soft. ELEMIS is a well-known British line, which I use (and like), and specializes in premium skincare and aromatic body products. I had not tried any body washes from the brand yet, and I am so pleased. It lathers briskly, and leaves a lingering scent on my skin after my shower. While I still need a moisturizer after showering, this body wash definitely isn’t harsh and drying. Instead, I can tell that my skin has a bit of hydration after using this product.Apparently you can also purchase refill containers for the bottle, so instead of throwing the (recyclable) bottle away, you can refill it. Highly recommended!

   Skin starting to peel off
   After using this product for 2 weeks my skin feels extremely dry and it’s peeling off. What a waste of money.

   Smells great
   This hand and body wash is very nice. It has an almost tea tree or lemongrass scent. I can’t quite figure out what the scent note is but it is lovely. The scent doesn’t last too long though. I used it as body wash and it did not dry my skin out or make my skin itch. It works great as a hand soap also. It’s a small bottle if you are using it as body wash as it takes a lot of little pumps of soap to wash your whole body.

   Nice hand wash with a strong botanical scent…but it’s not cruelty-free. Yuck.
   The description for this product says it is unscented. I wonder if that only means that ELEMIS didn’t deliberately add any fragrance to it, because it definitely has a very noticeable scent. It’s pleasant enough–sort of herbal or botanical–and it smells very familiar, but I can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of. Maybe it’s the birch sap, one of this product’s primary ingredients. I don’t know, but I do like it. I also like how well this hand & body wash cleans and soothes my skin. It lathers well, feels good to use, and rinses away cleanly. And not for nothing, but it also comes with what I call a ‘squirt stopper’, a plastic ring that prevents the pump from being depressed accidentally. I always appreciate that because I know it won’t dispense product if I need to put it away in a drawer or cabinet for a while.Unfortunately, at $36, this stuff is pretty expensive, especially for hand soap. And if you think it costs a lot for humans, think about the poor cats and rabbits who have it rubbed into their eyes and skin! That’s right, ELEMIS is NOT a cruelty-free company, and this is NOT a cruelty-free product. This company sells their skincare line in mainland China, where animal testing is compulsory for personal care products. As an industry leader, ELEMIS could afford to stand up to China and refuse to sell their stuff there, but they obviously prioritize profit over compassion. And I don’t care how good their hand wash smells, that kind of greed just stinks.My advice? Don’t buy this stuff. There are plenty of great cruelty-free alternatives available.    A spa soap for your hands and body
   This luxury soap is smooth and feels great on the skin. If you are looking for a spa feel, this is a great product that gives you that little extra to feel pampered. The natural oils and fragrances are light. One thing I would recommend is a little bit goes a long way. This would make for a great part of a spa basket or bridal gift or just a nice gift to give to a friend who like body washes that are elegant.

   I am not a fan of the scent…
   I just showered for the first time with body wash, also, first time trying a product from Elemis.I am going to start off saying that I really expected a more pleasant essence. Not that it smells bad, it smells like herbs but reminds me more like one of those generic body washes from a hotel. The good thing is, the scent totally dissipates once I rinse it out, so no trace of it afterwards.Now, let’s be fair, after showering with this product, my skin does smell clean and fresh, and it feels soft and smooth.As of the physical appearance and quantity per unit: This product is a gel-like transparent liquid. The container has 300 cc total volume. It does lather well, but you might need more than just 2 or 3 pumps to cover your body. I am calculating it might last for a couple of months at most.

   I have no complaint about this product from a premium brand, which I love.This,however, was for a gift. The first one delivered was damaged. I returned and re ordered.The second was also damaged due to the delivery woman lobbing it over a six foot high gate- but only after e mailing a pic of it left on my doorstep, as instructed. My door cam shows her doing this.Will keep for myself, and re order from Next…. who give excellent service.

    Had this at a spa really nice and price value for money will be buying again
