A true life saver
When my boyfriend and I moved in together and had to introduce our cats, this was recommended by my vet, and it was the rockstar of our move. While it’s not like it’ll magically make your cats love each other, it was great in helping our cats get used to being in a new house and it helped relieve a lot of anxiety when we slowly started introducing them. We still use this just to try to keep the peace, and we do notice a difference in how fidgety and restless they are when it runs out. Overall, it’s worked wonders for keeping things calm at home.

It really works.
I was pretty sure it would not work, we have 5 cats in the house, all rescues. Had some fighting, peeing, and pooping issues, ânot using the boxâ. We are on our reordered refills and have not had a single issue since we plugged them in. Bought three to cover the whole house. I am thrilled with the results. If you are on the fence, go for it. Other than not having issues any longer, you cannot even notice they have been installed.

It worked when I needed it most.
Moving and was fortunate enough to set the new place up before I moved with 3 cats. The unit was placed in the new home a week or so before the move. By day 2 they were much more comfortable and adjusting. My male cat is not so territorial. They are by no means “sedated” but seem to be getting along better.I rate as a 4 because of the cost of having to replace the unit so often as opposed to the refills of the product.

I believe it worked!
We have a pair of 6 month old kittens from the same litter who are closely bonded. They are great friends and love to play together. We had recently had the male neutered. He had recently recovered, and been released from his “cone of shame” when we had his sister spayed. She was wearing a soft cone that we had gotten from the vet, so she wouldn’t be able to get at her incision. We were told by the vet that her activity had to be very restricted for the first several days after her surgery, and, of course, her incision had to be protected. Since she and her brother like to play rough, we figured we would need to keep her separated for at least the first day or two post-surgery, and watch them carefully after that to make sure they didn’t get too crazy, and no one got after her incision.Naturally, the evening of the day she had her surgery, when I opened the door where we were confining her to check on her and spend some time visiting, her brother and our older cat both got into her room. I figured I would let them visit her, and see how it went. They were being sweet and calm, and, after the requisite sniffing was out of the way, they just kind of hung out in the room with us. (Her brother didn’t appear disturbed by the cone, and even groomed her face a bit. He didn’t act at all weird around her, or like he didn’t know her.)At bedtime, of course, my husband and I had to remove the other cats from our girl’s room, since we couldn’t really supervise them while we were sleeping, and she still needed to be activity-restricted. We already had a couple of Feliway diffusers, one with the Optimum formula, and one with the Classic formula, since we had had to separate the boy for a bit both before and after his neutering, which made no one happy.Sometime during the night, the girl had gotten her soft cone inverted, so it was kind of down around her shoulders instead of around her head. Her brother completely freaked out when he saw her that morning at breakfast. He hissed and looked big and acted like we had a strange cat in the house. It was really weird. I thought maybe it was because the cone was inverted, so I flipped it up so that it was back around her head, like it had been the evening before. Nope. He was still treating her like she was a stranger and a threat. I had a recovery suit I had purchased for her, so we put that on her and took the cone off, to see if it made any difference. No joy; he was still being weird, and we were concerned he might hurt her, so we had to separate them again. We tried periodically letting them interact again to see if he would get over it. Still no joy. By the evening of the second day, I was very concerned. He was not “getting over it”. He actually hid under the bed during playtime and treat time that evening. She seemed to have her feelings hurt that her brother was treating her this way, and her seemed very anxious and stressed. (He is already an anxious kitty – thus the other Feliway diffusers we already had running.) I decided I needed to try the Feliway Multicat formula to see if it might help. Of course, I realized this an hour too late to pick up a vial at my local pet supply store, but I was able to order one on Amazon for delivery the next morning. The package came on time, and, shortly after I got up, I brought it in, and plugged in the Multicat vial. Over the course of the day, our boy seemed to gradually calm down. I wouldn’t say he was interacting with his sister normally yet, but he was not acting like he was afraid of her, or treating her like a stranger, any longer. As long as we had to separate them at night or when we were out, he would be weird again for a few minutes when they were together again in the morning, but he would get over it pretty quickly. We’re now a week out from her surgery, and, even though she’s still in the recovery suit for a few more days, her brother is back to treating her like a member of the family, and not like we brought some kind of alien in the house. Sanity has been restored.I knocked a star off on value for money because the refill vials are expensive, almost as expensive as buying a new diffuser kit. I don’t think the refill vials should be that expensive. It doesn’t provide much incentive to buy a refill, vs. throwing away the diffuser and just buying a new kit when you need one. Not very economical, nor environmentally friendly, Feliway. I would have knocked off a couple of stars on value for money, but Amazon was offering the vial at a discounted price, and the product did work. These products are expensive, and I hope not to need them indefinitely, but, they did help us and our kitties get through a crisis.

Wonderful for calming down my rescue kitten
Iâve used this product often on for years. My vet recommended it. I have two 14 year-old cats. And he uses the spray at the vets to calm them down and he had me use this at home when I moved to help them adjust to a new place. But last September I rescued a mother and her eight kittens. They were born in the wetland next-door with raccoons and coyotes. They were only out there for a month before I was able to rescue them. But I kept two of the kittens and and after several months, one of them was still always terrified. I brought home some cat grass for him and he hid under the bed for an hour. I was out of town for a week and my boyfriend came to feed them. He saw my two 14 year old, but never saw the kittens. So I bought three of these diffusers and put one at each end of the house and one in the hallway and it has made such a magnificent difference. He is sitting at the glass door right now playing with a bug.heâs becoming so snuggly and friendly. He comes out when my sister is here to see if she can talk him into giving him some shrimp. This stuff is marvelous. Iâve got the refills on automatic ship so I get a new set every 30 days. And he is doing great.

Didnât work for me
I think it was helpful until it wasnât. I donât know if the cats just got used to it or what. We did some construction in the house which really upset them and the product didnât help at all. Both boy cat and the girl cat have urinated right next to the Feliway. I wonât be buying it again.

A game changer for introducing new cats
Thanks to this product, I successfully integrated a kitten with my two older cats within just 5 days. The first night I bright him home I wasnât prepared with feliway, because I didnât predict finding a kitten. It was absolute mayhem until I got this plugged in. They went from howling, aggressive and agitated to calm, but slightly annoyed with each other in 5 days. My 3y.o. male cat actually played a LITTLE bit with the kitten today(day 5), a huge milestone I wasnât predicting for at least a month. Given the extremely aggressive reaction that particular cat had on the first night, Iâm extremely impressed to see him curiously sniffing the kitten without growling every time. I have a feeling by the time Iâm finished with the first bottle, theyâll be best friends. I highly recommend getting this ahead of time if possible, because apparently it takes 1-7 days to take full effect. If you happen to find a kitten suddenly like me, order it ASAP.

Recomendadas para gatos nerviosos, aunque sólo es una ayuda y no una solución completa

I had behavioral problems among my 5 cats. This diffuser helped nothing. The behaviorist I contacted told me that multicat version is known for sometimes aggravating cats. They recommended I change to felliway classic which I did and almost immediately saw the difference.
