Never Enough Fly Fishing Gear
I grew up fly fishing and have the best memories with my dad and family. I used to get the hand me down stuff and now this is one of my first sets of new gear and Iâm excited to get out and use these! This fly fishing accessory set has everything I need to stay organized and efficient while out on the water. The 8-piece kit includes essential tools like fly fishing forceps, a tippet holder, and a tippet spool ring, all of which are well-made and designed to be durable. The retractable keychain and magnetic keychain with a lanyard are especially handy, keeping everything within reach but out of the way when not in use. I appreciate how compact and lightweight this kit is, making it easy to carry without adding bulk to my gear. The forceps are one of my favorite pieces in the set, as they have a firm grip and help with everything from removing hooks to tying knots. The tippet holder keeps my tippet spools neatly organized and accessible, which cuts down on the time I spend searching for the right size. The retractable keychain is a clever addition, allowing me to attach small tools and keep them easily accessible while fishing. The magnetic keychain is surprisingly strong and holds onto my items securely even when Iâm moving around. This set makes an excellent gift for any fly fisher, as it covers the essentials in one neat package. The quality and functionality of each tool make my fly fishing experience more enjoyable and efficient. Itâs a thoughtful and practical addition to my fishing kit that helps keep everything in place and ready for action.

Great set for fishing
This set has pretty much everything you need. I especially like that it includes the tippet holders and the spool ring because it allows me to hang them off my vest with the elastic holders there to keep the line from unspooling. I had lost a few of the elastic holders from my other bag, so I had been using a rubber band in its place. Not the best thing to do. As for the rest of the tools… they are all handy. I, of course, already have nippers and forceps and such, but to have a few of them makes it easier to not have to move everything when I’m changing from my vest to my shoulder fishing bag.

Good value and well made with a few caveats
For the price, this is a good basic set of accessories for your fly fishing vest. It comes with two zingers, combination nippers/nail knot tool, forceps, a tippet holder, a quick release leash for your net, a small carabiner and three elastic bands. All the tools feel sturdy and well made. The set came in a box with the tools in a foam holder. I think it would make a nice gift for a beginning fly fisher. A few things I didnât like – the zingers are big and fairly heavy (although they feel very sturdy). They take up too much space on my small Tenkara bag. The forceps are not stainless steel so eventually they will rust. Also the inner grooves on the forceps go all the way to the tips which makes them not as useful for pressing down the barbs on hooks. Finally, the three little elastic bands that are included could be useful but I would have really preferred ones that were black or another dark color. I got this set to use with a new small Tenkara bag I recently bought so I would have a second full set of basic tools without having to raid my vest and move tools back and forth. Theyâll work fine for that and for the price they are good value. As an aside, they are advertised as a âgreat gift for men.â The manufacturer needs to realize there are also a lot of women who fly fish and adjust their advertising accordingly.
