Nice kit, good price. No clue what to do with the “hook eye cleaner” though
This is a nice little kit for the price. Don’t know about the hook eye cleaner, it will probably stay home. The lanyard is too short to be of much use, I had hopes that this would work to hold my net – not gonna happen.

The thumb holes on the forceps are very small
Tools are generally great but I have a hard time using the forceps comfortably as the coating makes the holes small. Works fine just not super comfortable on the water.

Purchases for flyfishing
I recently took up flyfishing again after several years away. I bought this to equip my chest pack, Iâm very happy with this purchase.

Decent value
I purchased because I needed a new pair of forceps and this package seemed like a good deal with the other tools. The forceps appear to be well made and lock tight. Be sure to open them a few times before you hit the water because there is a little trick to opening them. The 4-in one tool has sharp and strong nippers. I like the built in hook-eye cleaner as it is longer than most. The hook sharpener is not great but it will do in a pinch if you nick a hook on the rocks and want to keep using that fly. Sharpen your hooks with a premium grade sharpening file (and pinch the barbs down if C&R fishing) before you go fishing. The nail-knot tool is not as easy to use as the Tie-Fast style standalone tool but is usable and will prevent having to rummage through pockets or packs if you need to make a new connection in the water. The zingers are good quality but the cord on the net-retractor is too short to really be useful for securing a net while wading. I have a Dr. Slick magnetic net holder which has a much longer cord and will continue to use that. To be honest, I had to search to figure out what the other tool is, even though I have been fishing for decades. I am still not sure as it seems to be described as a hook cleaner in one place and a fly line cutter in the other. I doubt I will use it for either purpose. The set is still a pretty good value at under $20.

Nice little set
My starter set of tools for trout fishing. They worked perfectly!
