Small, reliable and easy to use
It took quite awhile for us to find a 1-2 cup coffee maker. This one makes two medium cups. About 14 ounces. Perfect for a couple. It is easy to use and has a built in filter so you don’t have to use coffee filters. However, we use paper filters because we sometimes buy finely ground coffee. In that case the included filter lets fine coffee grounds settle into the filter holder and can clog it up. We now use #2 Melita filters that fit perfectly. When the Gevi coffee was new it made very hot coffee. Too hot, but Gevi apparently knew what they were doing. After a few months there is some loss in efficiency that has made the temp just right. In the two years we have used it (about 50 cups per week), it still works well. Based on my experience, I can definitely recommend this small coffee maker.

Best Coffee Maker I ever had
I have never written an Amazon review before, but I like this Gevi 4-cup drip coffee maker so much I felt compelled to do so. I’ve had a number of other machines and even made single cups with coffee bags (like tea bags). My most recent machine was a 4-cup Mr. Coffee. A good coffee maker but the hot plate burned the coffee in the carafe if it sat on there for more than 30 minutes. I was looking for a coffee maker that would NOT burn the coffee. Plus, I like that the Gevi shuts itself off after two hours — on occasion I forgot to shut the Mr. Coffee off and it ran for hours and hours. But, the real test with Gevi was to let the last cup of coffee sit in the carafe for those two hours then drink it. It was NOT burned and tasted as good as the first cup. The carafe makes two good sized cups and that’s about all I want in the morning and I don’t want to rush back to the coffee maker right away for the 2nd cup. I want to drink it leisurely. It’s a good looking machine, I like the no drip spout. The only awkward thing for me is it sits under a shelf in a coffee/drink bar. I have to pull the entire machine out to lift the water tank cover so I can pour water in. Also, there’s a plastic bar in the middle of the water tank that requires one to be careful when pouring in water. But those are minor points. This machine makes a great cup of coffee and keeps it tasting great for hours. No burning. I’d highly recommend this Gevi coffee maker.

Good Basic coffee maker
I am happy with my purchase of this coffee maker. It doesn’t make a large amount of coffee but perfect for me! The temperature is just right, it’s easy to use not complicated didn’t even read the directions. My coffee tastes good. That’s important. I will say that the pot itself has a small opening in which to pore from and to fill. The coffee basket swings open so very easy to access. It does come with its own filter but I prefer paper filters as I like a smoother flavor (may just be my imagination). The filter is adequate but has a delicate structure and may not hold up with long term use of cleaning. The area to pour the water into is small but adequate. For the money it’s a good choice. I would give it five stars except I am not sure the long term use of this coffee maker will provide the 15 years +++ I had with my other coffee maker that was definitely made a bit better than this one.

Had mine for years. Simple one button start. No problems at all. Shuts off in 2 hours. Will buy another when this one dies.

I Like it!!!
I Like it!!!Iâve used a small 4-Cup coffee maker for years. When shopping for a new maker I desired specific features, and the Gevi 4-Cup met all-of-my specs:- Small Footprint.- Glass Carafe.- Auto Off (in 2 hours).OTHER PROS- Even smaller footprint than my previous maker.- Iâm actually liking the washable filter. But it can still use a #2 cone if desired.- Coffee and warmer is much hotter than my previous makers so my cup of coffee stays warmer longer.- Best price to features maker that I found.CON- The glass Carafe is tapered making it hard to clean by hand/sponge. But it can still be cleaned easily with a brush such as an: OXO Good Grips Bottle Brush.OTHER NOTES:- The Carafe looks smaller than the previous makerâs with straight sides, but it is the same volume.- The washable filter is nylon and not metal.WASHABLE FILTER NOTE- Donât use too finely ground coffee. It will leave a little silky-looking dregs in the bottom of the pot.- A normal brew grind like you get with generic coffee like Folgers is best.- The filter cleans easier if you let it dry a bit overnight….. BUT – After using it a while, I have gone back to using #2 Cone Filters.GRINDS DISPOSAL- Dump grinds in trash (not down sink), wash filter in sink.- Grinds can bind with fats in the drainage system creating clogs over time.- Grinds are also good to put in plants and at tree roots, but first look-up the plant to see it it likes acidic soil and will be good for it, …and don’t over do it.KEEPING IT CLEAN & CLEANING- Use filtered water if possible.- After brewing, leave the filler lid up, and the basket door ajar. This will allow the tank to dry and prevent mold, mildew or slime from growing.- After brewing, leave the filter door open, or clean it out, and leave ajar. Keeps stuff from growing.- After any of these cleaning techniques, run a couple of pots of clean water only through it afterwards. > To sanitize: Run bleach water through it. > To reduce calcium deposits: Run vinegar water through it. > Bad calcium deposits: Run a cream-of-tarter solution water through it.

Perfect small coffee maker
I am not a fan of K-cup coffee makers for many reasons. My preference is a drip coffee pot. Since I am the only coffee drinker at my house a small pot does the trick. This Gevi is great! Better than my old Mr. Coffee one that the Gevi was replacing. It doesn’t take long to make four cups, the coffee stays hot for a reasonable period of time and the automatic shut-off prevents burning any coffee leftovers. I use an unbleached paper filter rather than the reusable filter (easier clean up). Not sure how long this will last as I have only had it foe a couple of months. It gets daily use and sometimes 2 or 3 times in a day and every time it makes great coffee. I highly recommend this coffee maker.

I purchased this coffee maker because it has no BPA in the plastic (supposedly) and its a good bran name. Having say so, while it looks great on the picture, it does not feel or look any different than a $20 black and decker as faras been flimsy. So overall this is just too expensive for the few features it has, and I feel I have been ripped off.
