MIPS EVOLVE CORE — All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. Haven’t had a chance to test the vents but the fit, price and look works!

Extremely comfortable, lightweight, easily adjustable
I ordered this helmet and the TeamObsidian helmet the same time, with the intent of returning one of them. My criteria were small streamlined design, good airflow, lightweight, visor, fit adjustability. I am keeping this one! PROS: lightweight and extremely comfortable, easy visor attachment, easy to adjust in small increments. The MIPS technology consists of a lightly foam padded plastic web that creates a space between your head and the bulk of the helmet. This makes the helmet very comfortable, almost like you donât feel the main part of it at all. The adjustment wheel dials in the size in tiny increments, making it possible to get it just right. The foam padding strips in the interior plastic web are backed with Velcro and can also be snuggled up if needed. There was just no comparison between this helmet and the other TeamObsidian helmet, even though they are comparably priced. The other one was downright uncomfortable by comparison, and the adjustment wheel much more clunky. CONS: my only con is the visor. It is very easy to attach and detach, but I had hoped it would be adjustable and it is not. It also seems rather small. My rides are often on ocean headlands, so a visor is a must. This one doesnât have very good coverage. Iâd probably knock a half a star off for that, but not a whole one. Iâm very happy with this purchase, and the other one is going back.

Great Fit & Safety
I love that this helmet fits so perfectly! It is lightweight, and is so comfortable. I’m also partial to the color yellow, so this one is right in my wheelhouse! It’s easy to see me coming…I purchased this primarily to move up to the improved MIPS technology. While that tech change is not visible to my novice eye, it gives me confidence to be riding with the latest safety feature.There’s an extra plastic clip-on on the front of the helmet. This must be for cosmetic purposes only. Honestly, I have accidentally dislodged it several times while putting on the helmet. It’s easy to re-install.I’m very pleased with this helmet!

MIPS safety system
This is my second of this helmet, the first is yellow from a couple of years ago, and this one is white to match my new road bike. The fit is great, it is well ventilated, and I about forget I have it on. The MIPS system is a great feature, hope I never activate it. Very satisfied, 5 stars.

I absolutely love this helmet
I’ve never been in love with wearing a helmet to ride a bicycle, but I have to admit I love this one. I chose it due to the great reviews, but especially because it had so many air vents to keep you head cool and the ease to get a great fit. I actually love wearing it now…from how little I sweat when wearing it, to how easy it is to get a good fit with the dial tightening screw on the back of it. My sister was visiting and I gave it to her to wear…she had the same comments. I give it an enthusiastic “5”

Very comfortable helmet, white color stands out in traffic, MIPS safety is a huge plus
I’ve been riding for decades and have been following helmet technology for a long time. When MIPS helmets came out, I began following articles about them, and reading a lot of reviews relating to how they perform. Giro helmets have been available with MIPS for a while now, and the price has gotten to be affordable for anyone to benefit from the technology. This helmet is very affordable for a MIPS helmet, and feels just as light and comfortable as a few helmets I have that I spent three times the amount I paid for this one. I use this one on my road bike, ad the bright white color really seems to stay out in urban and country environments. It’s well ventilated, and the adjustment straps are easy to use and adjust whenever needed, with just the twist of a knob. In the summer I can wear this one when it’s a hundred degrees, and in the winter, I can wear a helmet liner underneath this one and ride comfortably in the twenty degree range. It’s a great helmet, and priced very reasonably. It’s also just as useful on most mountain bike trails as it is in local parks or on the road. I very much recommend this one to anyone looking for a bicycle helmet.

Good for. Very bright
My opthamologist said if I insist on biking, I need a bright helmet because she sees a lot of patients who drive and can’t see bicyclists! Ack! This puppy is bright! The only thing I don’t like is the green brim. I wish it were black because the sun shines through it and…. It’s bright!!!! I thought about switching out with my older grey brim but, of course, even tho both are giro, the old won’t fit! Maybe I’ll paint the under side black? Maybe put some black tape?It does fit nicely and is easily adjustable. I have a pretty tiny head. I can wear children’s helmets sometimes but this tightens down easily and nicely. I was surprised the triangle part of the straps weren’t adjustable but seems to fit securely so, I guess it’s not necessary. Altho, I feel it’s a tiny bit higher in the front than I’d ideally wear.
