Excellent value and quality, easy to use, small and compact, you can’t easily beat this camera
Out in the woods, monitoring a deer feeder. Quality is excellent, very easy to set up and use. Batteries are lasting very well and no issues even after multiple heavy rain storms. I could have selected much higher resolution, video etc but opted for good enough quality still images. Night image quality is also good, but of course black and white images only.I like that the camera is much more compact than most others and only uses four AA batteries, and comes with a standard 32Gb Micro SD card included. Compact is nice for storage space, backpack space when carrying a few in, and for smaller appearance when attached carefully to a tree to be less likely to be seen by camera thieves.I use the included strap to tie it to a tree but considered using the screw on base instead which might be very useful. I also really like the mini display for quick field viewing of photos but don’t use it much. I’m usually in and out as fast as possible changing cards and head back to my computer to view properly on a big screen. Not a lot of useless no animal pictures, the camera gets a few from shadows or trees blowing but that is inevitable, and less than I had with another camera.I would definitely buy more as soon as I need some for other spots. One tip – format Micro SD cards for the camera in the camera. I formatted some in a MacOS computer and thought the camera was broken – no photos. Fortunately I remembered the card that came with the camera had photos so I reformatted my other cards in the camera and no problems since then. This is the same review as I mistakenly left under the related solar panel! I’ll remove that one soon as the review is specific to the camera.

Pretty great for the price
This was given as a gift and I must say it makes a great gift idea for the right person. I am pretty impressed with the trail camera for the price. Nice that it comes with first set of batteries and a microsd card. Picture quality is good and everything functions just the way it should. Night vision works well. The little screen is nice to be able to check photos/videos without removing the card. I can’t really think of any downsides to this camera except potentially the battery life(it uses 4 aa batteries), but it also comes with the port for using a solar panel to run it or to plug it in directly if you have power available. The small size is great for concealment and it has a nice camo pattern as well. I am using it for watching what birds come in to my tree, but you do have to be careful to aim it where there won’t be moving branches to constantly trigger the motion sensor. That is just the nature of a motion sensor and no fault of the camera itself. I have mine aimed at solid branch with the trunk as a backstop. Eventually i’d like to find a nice wild place to put it in the forest where I can leave it and check back. Will be fun for my kids to see what animals crossed our path.

Solid Camera, Updated! One Year of Use.
Camera being used on the East Coast of North Carolina. Between 20 degrees and 95 degrees throughout the time I had the camera(s) in the field. I have had two on these cameras for two seasons in the field, and I just bought two more this year because I was so satisfied.Bottom line up front: solid camera, would recommend to any hunter of any skill level who wants a good camera at a low price. The good:-Easy to use, and ready to stick to a tree right after opening the box (memory card, strap, batteries in box).-Easy to set up, I was impressed by the amount of settings the camera has for such a low price.-Screen on the back and buttons are relatively easy to use, allows you to check really quick for game if you want to look before going into the stand. Easy to identify big game on the small screen on the camera itself.-Camera has good reaction speed when the sensor picks something up. Decent field of view as well.-Camera picks up small movements easily. Got every critter that came across it small and large. Watch out for branches or grass that blows in the wind, itâll trigger the sensor easily.-Good clean images on still and video modes (when put onto computer or SD card reader). Some other reviews said the images weren’t great, I’m confident that they didn’t adjust the camera (in settings mode) to a higher image setting (It’s easy to change the settings on the camera to higher image quality that you can see on your computer) OR they are only talking about the images on the small screen on the camera. The images are a little hard to see on the screen on the camera but honestly, I think itâs pretty solid for such a small screen on an inexpensive camera. I could still identify big game animals quickly on the small screen.-Great customer service, I had one camera malfunction and take videos that were skipping. They sent me a message telling me how to fix it. After that didnât work they sent me a brand new camera! They didnât even make me send the old one back!(donât be perturbed by the length of the bad comments, itâs just explaining context)The bad:-Temperature read on the camera: if its picturing and videoing critters for a long time (deer hanging out in front of the camera for 10 minutes) the temperature allegedly increases [gradually]10 degrees hotter.-The sensor picks up a wider field of view than the camera can see. I had a lot of videos of nothing, I looked at the left and right sides of the image and I could see a deer leg or an ear poke out really quick half way through the video. It seems like it’s triggering the video, and you may get lucky and see a tiny piece of the animal while it’s filming.-If a critter is hanging out in front of the camera for a while, it’ll intermittently start filming again after the initial video. The bear video I posted cut at 20 seconds (I set the camera to 20 seconds of video). The bear made a big movement left and didn’t pick it up for 10 seconds. Because of this I missed the imagery of a full broadside look at the animal (it made a broadside movement perfectly in front of the camera but it wasn’t filming). The camera and video turned back on when he was walking out of frame on the other side of the cameras view. But, when filming a deer there was only a 2-3 second gap between the camera starting pictures and video again.-The infrared light on it is a little too bright. I thought so when I was testing it out at home. I had deer and raccoons look strait at the camera when it started filming. Iâm pretty sure the light is getting their attention. Luckily for me it didnât scare anything away. But, it could be an issue for other animals in other regions. For the price itâs perfect though. I love the video and imagine quality. I get a lot of situational awareness on the game in a given area. And I share a lot of the videos with family and friends who run the big expensive cameras who ask me where to get a camera like this.

Not reliable
When I first got it, it worked amazing. Very sensitive trigger. The smallest creature would set it off. Recorded great audio video and photos. Very bright nighttime light up area.Unfortunately, it didnât last after two days of use it stopped triggering and recording anything. I took the batteries back out and put them back into kind of reset it and that got it working again but only for a night now thatâs the only way to get it to retrigger and record anything, and it only lasts a handful of hours before it just stops. The batteries are fine and thereâs plenty of space on the SD card. After buying a replacement power supply for a project I built earlier this year only for that one to have issues too. I swore off Chinese electronics. I know the price is very tempting, but save your money for something nice the stuff just isnât worth the headache. You canât buy anything decent anymore
