Powerful, Quality Materials, & Very Adjustable
This headlamp is not an ordinary headlamp. Although it’s made in China (a bummer as I had failed to determine this when I purchased them), the headlamp is made with strong, quality material. From the light itself to the strap, you can tell it’s all strong and well made. And, you get two complete headlamps. I got this so my son and I both would have one.The light is very adjustable. It has 4 modes as stated in the advertisement. 1) VERY bright 2) Less bright 3) SOS signal sequence 4) strobe (self defense flash). This is the brightest light I’ve ever owned. I turned it on in the back yard at night and sort of panicked since it was directed toward my neighbor’s house 100 yards away and it lit their house up so bright I thought they’d come running out or call the cops. Bright and I mean VERY BRIGHT. I doubt you’ll ever need such power but it’s there. Be careful though, it could probably damage your vision if shined into your eyes (SERIOUS WARNING). The dimmer setting should work for everything and wherever you need it. Of course, no one thinks they’ll need the SOS but it’s there if needed. And the strobe is something I don’t see needing; but again, it’s there if needed. The light can be tilted about 90* up and down, not side to side. The up and down adjustment is all one should ever need. Also, although it can be zoomed in and out, I could not determine how to do this. I kept trying to twist in in and out, like some older model flashlights. But, they place a sticker with an arrow on the barrel of the light to help you understand how to adjust it. Just hold the light where it connects to the strap and pull the lens away from the strap with your other hand. You may have to pull hard the first time or two since the machined tolerance is tight but once it’s been done a few times, it’ll adjust more easily. It goes from a wide angle light to a more narrow; albeit, square looking long-distant spotlight. Although the light beam is oddly shaped, it’s very affective. The head strap is wide and strong with easy adjustments on all straps. The width is extra wide so it does’t cut into your head as a narrow strap can. This is especially important if wearing it for extended periods of time. I wear a ball cap and it fits perfectly onto it without any problems. I also shave my head smooth and it works well on a shaved head. The supplied, rechargeable batteries, are installed into a plastic box/container that hangs on the strap in the back of your head which is good since it will help balance the weight of the light on the front–well engineered. This plastic container also doubles as a charge indicator. It has a built in light that comes on red when a charge is needed while using it. Charging the headlamp is relatively simple. Use the USB cable that’s included to plug into the bottom of the battery pack and into a USB plug. There is enough charge in the batteries for the light to operate normally for awhile straight out of the box, but I charged mine soon after opening it. A full charge is indicated by the battery light turning green. Mine took about 3 hours to fully charge. Be patient, it takes a few hours to fully charge but the charge lasts a long time as long as you aren’t using the super bright mode continuously.Included with the lights are plastic clips that are in a sealed bag that you can use if wearing a construction/hiking style helmet. The clips would attach to the rim of your helmet to allow the strap of your headlamp to be held in place on the outside of the helmet. Otherwise, I”m certain the strap would slip up and off the helmet quite easily.I give this product a AAA+ rating. Who knows how long this light will work (years?) but for the price, it’s well worth it.

Perfect for nighttime walks
I had back surgery and needed to do my evening / nighttime walks around the neighborhood carefully. My neighborhood feels quite safe, yet the streets here are uneven and primitive, with occasional piles of sand, gravel and debris after a summer storm. Not only can I see where Iâm going in the using this headlamp, itâs powerful enough to stop and take a look at things along the way in detail. A mound of earth crawling with ants for example, I can see the individual ants working on their project, from a couple meters away. I am also visible to the drivers who share the road with me, a middle aged pedestrian. Both the sober drivers and the intoxicated ones know Iâm here. The beam of light is so powerful, when I was first trying this headlamp out, another pedestrian complained when I glanced over at them, with hands covering their eyes. I quickly apologized and have taken precautions since then to avoid directing this beam coming from my head at anyone facing or coming toward me from any distance, because blinding my neighbors is not my goal. My goal is to avoid a fall while still being able to take walks in the dark at the end of the day, after back surgery, while still getting my balance and getting in a bit of aerobic movement. These will work great for longer hikes, in the woods or wherever, for camping, and also for having on hand in case of a power failure. One charge (rechargeable with USB) seems to be lasting quite a while. Impressive. Downside? There is one, but itâs minor, compared to the positives. The apparatus is NOT lightweight. Which is okay, since th lightweight ones I have owned lack the power and duration this one has. Itâs not super comfortable against the bare skin of my forehead, so my work around is to simple place a cotton bandana like a headband on my noggin first before adding the headlamp contraption with its adjustable elastic bands. One other thing to mentionâ¦. If you are self conscious and donât want to look like you are on a science mission or a âprofessor gadgetâ, i.e., needing a mainstream esthetic fashion statement headlamp rather than a utilitarian headlamp, buy something else. This does make a fashion statement. It says âdefinitely a science nerd girl / professor gadget – type person here.â I can live with that. I enjoy seeing where Iâm going, getting out for a walk after dark around the neighborhood, looking at ant colonies, not tripping on uneven pavements after major surgery, being seen by the drunk drivers who avoid me since I look like an unexpected coal miner who got lost in a suburb at night. These are for function, not for fashion and this device suits me fine. Iâm glad I bought it.

Grunt tested and approved
I spent many years in the Infantry so Ive owed my fair share of flashlights and headlamps and I have to say I’m more than satisfied with this headlamp. It’s tough as nails, I’m definitely not easy on my gear and this thing always fires right up and it’s super bright. I like how i can narrow the beam down to zoom in on whatever I’m looking at a good distance away. When I say this thing is bright I mean if you look at someone by accident while this thing is on it completely blinds you leaving you seeing nothing but black spots, It’s the real deal.

The headlights are bright
I use these lights as a part of my job. The draw back to these units are the frontal length. It is longer than my previo It seems to be a good value for the money.us light and a bit heavy. I am happy with brightness and it has a feature I like. If you are on the 1st brightness level and leave it there for a while 1 push of the power button shuts it off. One of my peeves with these lights is the necessity of having to cycle through all modes to get it to turn off.

Don’t last
Sure they are bright as hell but they don’t last. Batteries suck, connections are brittle. Socket ring backs out constantly. Save your money and get a better product.

Excellent headlamps
Highly recommend these headlights…. really powerful and you can adjust the beam… making them very versatile. With all this power comes a shorter than hoped battery life…. but still really worth it.
