Lots of Options to Adjust for Personal Needs and Preferences, 67″ Power Cord
I’m reviewing COMFYTHERA Heated Lumbar Back Traction Device, with Back Traction Support and Waist Stretcher Cushion. This back device did everything it’s supposed to do, and my back felt good after using it.Here’s how it works:â Power button turns the unit on, then quick press to adjust the time with 10, 20, and 30 minute options.â Vibration button, a quick press toggles through 6 different vibration modes of varying strength and patterns.â Airsac mode button, a quick press toggles through 3 different pump modes.â + – buttons, long press these buttons. + adds air to the air sacs making it higher while – removes air making it sit lower. Note: pressing either of these buttons will keep the unit at that height and disconnects the pump mode cycle. The heights within the airsac modes cannot be adjusted, only the static height can be set.â Heating button, a quick press adjusts the heat level. There are three different heat levels or the heat can be turned off. The temperatures are 113°F, 131°F, and 149°F.The instructions guide does not explain each of the vibration or pump modes, so you have to experiment to figure out what they do (contributes to the 4 star rating). For my personal thoughts, the heat took a couple minutes to get to temperature, and I found the high heat setting to be a bit too warm for me with level 2 being more comfortable. I found the airsac mode to raise up too high for my preferences, so used the – button to lower the height which kicks off the variable height used in the airsac mode.I like that it’s so adjustable to fit the needs of the user. For this device to work properly, you need to be laying down flat and can use a pillow under your head. It’s not designed to be used in the sitting position.A downside is that the power cord could be longer (reflected in star rating). It measured 67″ (5’7″) which isn’t all that long if you don’t have an electric outlet near by.I find the current price of $52.99 to be reasonable. As a side note, this COMFYTHERA Heated Lumbar Back Traction Device is made in China.

2 died ..Great device but flaws I fixed. Power plug pulls out
I bought 3 of these, one for recliner, one for bed & floor, one for truck. After 60 days TWO lost power.I thought 1st was fried but no. I unzipped it and saw the little plug in power connector to the motherboard had pulled out of the red socket. The hot glue did not hold. There are two empty white sockets there that are left empty. To the far right is the red one. Use needle nose pliers or tweezers to reinsert AFTER tying a couple knots in cord inside with slack enough to plug in. This will stop it happening again. (See 2 pix) Should be done at factory as this will pull out on a lot of these. Also, tie a granny knot inline where the powerline plugs in on line outside to keep them from unplugging often in use.(This is very typical of many devices from CCP over 35 yrs of buying…one tiny goofy, sloppy flaw sends them to the dumps when it fails.)

A nice extra in my ever-expanding toolkit for lower back pain
I really like this COMFYTHERA heated lumbar back traction and massaging device. The traction slowly expands, and has several different levels of expansion. Then it holds for a few moments before slowly releasing. You can also quick release. The massaging balls are great too, and can be used independently of the traction part. I have yet to move beyond the lowest level of traction, and can only stand it for a few minutes before my back is tired. But with each new use, I can keep it inflated a little bit longer than the previous use. The heating is quite nice as well, and even the lowest setting is a decent level. The suggestion seems to be to lay down on the device and let it stretch the back that way. I prefer to use it in my chair while sitting against it. Overall, this is a nice extra in my ever-expanding toolkit for lower back pain.
