This longer length insulated jacket is just what I had been searching for and I’m now happy when it rains so I can wear it, knowing I’ll stay completely dry. I like that it’s waterproof but not stiff or rubbery. The hood stows inside the stand-up collar and when needed, covers the head perfectly and doesn’t slide off or slip down over the face. The jacket is well made and I like the attention to detail. Where skin contacts the jacket there’s soft flannel: inside the pockets and the back collar. I only recently noticed the hidden zippered breast pocket (shown in photo) – perfect for carrying cash or credit card.I checked the size guide before ordering and found the measurements to be accurate so I’d say the jacket runs true to size. The sleeve length is perfect. The red I purchased is called ‘cabernet’ and it’s a nice rich color, not too bright and a nice alternative to dull olive or black on a rainy day.
