I have use it and it is nice to be able to put the hot straightener in the bag. I havenât had a use for the pad as yet.

If this is a heat resistant silicone mat, it is inside of soft fabric.
Pros:The bag is gusseted, and sits flat.It has two external zippers, they both glide smoothly.It has a strap that will allow you to hang it up on a hook.On the inside of the bag, one side has two zippered pockets and an elastic band.On the other side, of the inside, there is also three pockets, with a small elastic band at the top of them to help keep items inside.I have an extra long curling iron, it does fit in the bag.The mat is large enough to hold two tools at the same time.This bag would easily hold one of those curling iron that has multiple size wands that attached to it.Cons:It is unknown if the interior fabric is also heat resistant.The magnetic buttons, need to be lined up correctly, in order to shut properly.FYI:The outside of the bag is not water resistant. I did get it wet and all of the water absorbed quickly into the fabric. (This probably doesnât matter, unless you travel a lot in the rain, and plan on keeping this on the outside of your luggage).I put water on the heat resistant surface, the water also absorbed into the fabric there as well.There are no exterior pockets on the bag.

This bag was so good for my vacation. It held several hair styling products in one place. This bag saved me space in my luggage while keeping everything together. It gave me peace of mind while traveling.
