Product is not IPL, does not work.
I have a Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 that I love. It’s usually fairly painless unless I hit a mole or certain places along my bikini line. It’s strong enough to actually remove moles with a couple of passes, but it certainly does not feel good (like a hot rubber band). It is very effective. I’ve also had IPL done professionally on my face for sun damage. It’s painful. The home devices are obviously less powerful than the pro versions, but you still know it when you hit a dark spot, since IPL targets brown and red pigmentation.This device? I don’t know what it is, but there is nothing more than flashes of light coming out of it (and not the right ones). After I did half of my leg, I got suspicious and tested on a mole (I know, I shouldn’t do that). Ten flashes later on the highest power setting and nothing. This thing does absolutely nothing. With my Braun, I know it if I hit a mole even once. Twice and it’s usually a burnt crisp that flakes off later. I don’t know what the other reviewers are talking about… I tested it on a variety of darker spots that should have zapped me big time and felt absolutely nothing. And ten minutes later, there’s no warmth, no irritation, no burnt pigment (gross, I know, but it’s what IPL does).This item was not damaged, it was not previously used, it charged perfectly, it turned on perfectly, the fan fired up perfectly, it’s easy to adjust, the cooling worked perfectly (I wish my Braun had this!), everything is perfect…except that it’s not IPL, or IF it is, it’s so weak that it will not work even on my super fair skin with medium-dark hair (and the moles I tested it on are very dark).It’s a huge amount of money for most people in this economy to be wasting on a bogus product like this. Buyer beware.

Extensive Session and charge
Have had to use it 2x a day for 2 months before starting to notice difference needs to be charged after every use takes too long for light to charge after each zap sessions take anywhere from 45 min to 1.25 hours

I’ve been holding off on doing a review for this for a bit now. Mainly because despite my wanting it, I was a bit nervous at ‘laser’. I mean… I grew up on Lazer Tag (I’m old, folks… hush). So pointing a laser at my pointing still spins the needle for me on the wheel of “is this a good idea?”That said… I finally worked up the guts to try it thanks to the encouragement of my wife. Who, on her side, was quite content to fire a laser at me. Huh.This is cordless (or can work with the cord too!) and you can tell the moment you pick it up it is decent quality. It comes with safety glasses, a recommend razer (you need to shave hair before using this laser gun) and a detailed, yet simple instruction booklet.The instructions make it sound a bit easier than it really is, in all honesty. It took us a few seconds to figure out how to turn it on and zap me. And I wish it was USB-C for recharging instead of the round old school. But that’s okay, I just like having multiple charge cord options.As to it working… no pain. I don’t even feel a chill on my skin. Still makes me a bit nervous when first using it, but I wanted to reassure everyone – I don’t feel pain. And after experimenting with it on me (huh…), my wife wants to try it on herself.As to does it work? Remains to be seen. The instructions and company tells you quite clearly this will take a bit to work. You also need to make sure you don’t get any moisture on the area right after using it. And avoid direct UV for 48 hours. So if anyone wants to use this for bikini season, start NOW to be ready for summer, because it will take a couple of months of use to see true results. Just an fyi.But while I’m still in process to see results, I’m grateful to the company for making a quality laser, adding protection for consumers, and making it painless.
