Lezyne 1300XXL Recgargeable Headlight
The Lezyne 1300XXL is a great bike light. It is well made and comes with a micro charging cable. The 1300 lumen setting offers great visibility for lonely roads or trails in absolute darkness, but 1300 lumens is a bit bright for the eyes of oncoming bicyclists or the drivers of oncoming cars. The 800 and 450 lumen settings take less juice, so the battery lasts longer while using these settings. For my purposes, the 800 or even 450 lumen settings are quite adequate for most of my on-road night riding. To insure long battery life, the manual suggests that owners should let the battery completely run down before recharging. This would likely be the case for any rechargeable bike light, but it gives one cause to pause as to what might happen on a long ride when the battery runs dry. Will you cary a spare light? The spare could be any old light to allow you to get home safely, or it could be another high intensity light. This would not be a problem if you just recharged the battery after each use, or perhaps when the charge drops to 50% (when on off button shows yellow light).Keep in mind that you may want to use the 150 lumen flash or pulse modes in the daytime to enhance your safety when riding in daytime traffic, or on long rides that end well after dark, you may be operating light in one setting or another for a long time.To prolong battery life, I plan to let my light discharge before recharging. My solution was to purchase a second Lezyne 1300XXL, and then use the two lights in sequence so that I will always have a fully charged spare on board if one becomes fully discharged.I like this light that much. It seems to be well designed and well built. The strap that attaches the light to my handlebars seems to hold the light securely in place while allowing me to lower to raise the angle of the light body in the event that the light is operating at the 1300 lumen setting and an occasional vehicle approaches without having to change the intensity of the beam. The only criticism is that I have about the light is that although the “race mode” is a great addition, allowing the rider to quickly switch from1300 lumens to a lower setting, that low setting in “race mode” is perhaps too low for most uses.”Also please note that Lezyne offers some to interesting accessories for this light including a remote control button. These options and the light itself are described in more detail on the Lezyne website: https://ride.lezyne.com

Great, indestructible light
Great brightness and variety of beam settings. Attractive design. Straightforward functionality without unneeded extra features. Impervious to water and built like a tank (but a light, compact tank). This is the second Lezyne light I have owned and it will positively not be the last-very pleased with both.

Bright, long lasting
I use this in the first flash mode during the day and in varying solid modes at night (not frequently). No problems with rain or water. Extremely visible and reflectively lights up signs in the day time, bright and illuminates pretty well in front of you at night. I think the strap for mounting it to the bar could be better somehow – it’s a mild annoyance to attach, kind of chunky, and may not seem secure if it’s not in the perfect spot – but I mostly wanted to touch on the battery life. I run this thing anywhere from 3-6+ hours every day and I have no idea the last time I charged it. Every ride I wonder if this is the one it will start to die, but it just keeps going. I don’t even know how long it takes to fully charge because I’ve only had to do it a few times, never from completely dead, and I just charge it overnight. Probably the accessory I have to worry about the least on my bike. Would buy again.

Best light
Best light I’ve ever had. Easily mounts and unmounts from handlebars and aero bars. Long lasting battery, multiple brightness options and strobe effects. Lights up a country road with no street lights for night rides. I run the strobe during the day.

good light but battery stats off
This light is rugged and puts out a good amount of lumens. Riding on roads at night I would recommend 250-300 lumens minimum. The medium setting of 450 lumens does light up the road but you may need more on trails. However, I bought the light because of the advertised 8 hours at the 450 lumen level. Some of my rides go through the night so that was important. When it arrived I fully charged it and then ran it at 450 lumens. It lasted about 5 hours before transferring to the eco-lumen level and then went off after 6. But I contacted Lezyne about the difference and they sent me another light. (good customer service) Perhaps I’m a bit naive to believe advertised battery life but… The light does have some weight to it but I imagine you are not riding your 16 lb racing bike at night.

Bright and Durable
Lezyne makes high quality products. This light is so bright that I rarely use it on its highest setting. I frequently go on 2 hour long night rides, and the battery has never let me down. I will say it is heavy, but in this case, I think that also means heavy duty. I used to be dubious about lights with quick release straps, afraid they would wear out. But, I’ve had this over a year and it’s like new. The convenience in switching between bikes is worth it.

I think this may be the best, for the cost.
My old 800lm headlight went out. Would not accept a charge any longer and was out of warranty. After researching, I finally decided on this model. This 1300lm is awesome. I usually wear it on my helmet (I bought the helmet mount too). I programmed it for race mode, so it only uses the medium and high settings. Normally I just run medium steady light. I have yet to run out of battery. Battery has been terrific. On our night rides, my buddies comment on how bright the light is. I love the way the light lights up the trail, and I never worry about having enough light. All I can tell you is this light is terrific. Easy to use. Has race mode. It is everything I wanted in a light. And of course, the brightest light and run time I could find at the 1300lm. (It is also the least expensive name brand light, which is a plus). This light is a must buy.

Very bright, long-lasting bike light. Heavier than most but you get extremely long battery life as a trade-off. I wish it had more blinking settings but what is there will keep you visible.
