Comfortable. Economical. Quality.
Got this in the mail yesterday and quickly installed it in my Shimano Citica that I have set aside as my crankbait reel. I wanted a handle with a little more torque because a long day of throwing a crankbait on a stock, shorter handle can be tiresome. I am very satisfied for the price! One of my biggest concerns was this handleâs ability to clear the star drag and it definitely does!! Will be ordering another one for my Alabama Rig setup!

Just a note that I don’t find in the Q&A. This handle/crank does not fit any Penn reel in my arsenal.

I have now purchased a total of three. I baitcast for salmon and like high speed gear ratio. This help speed up retrieval with no fish, helps with power with fish on and high gear.

Bent the handle
The grips are a little small for my liking and it’s not very durable. Hooked into a 4lb bass and bent the handle damn near in half. Definitely better options out there even if they are a little more money

Great fit for Shimano reel
Fits my Shimano curado 70 (left handed)really well. I really disliked the small original handles and this was a quick upgrade for cheap.

Decent but definitely has its limited model use.
Does not fit a straight handle drag star reel. Tried it on my cardiff and calcutta 200. The star drag hits the inside of the handle. Don’t know how an other reviewer got it to fit a curado e7.It fits my daiwa reels (tatulas, arid Coastal) but don’t think the handle knobs are a upgrade for those reels. Have not tried it yet on my 13 fishing reels but will update when I do. Make sure you disassemble and oil the bearings. They come very dry and the inside of the knobs had leftover metal shavings. The screws holding on the knobs also came not tighten down very much. Took some very fine sandpaper to some of rough edges on the handle too. Not bad considering a good carbon fiber handle cost at least $40. Going to try and see if I can get a smaller star drag for my cardiff and make this handle fit.Edit: Fits 13 brand fishing reels. Make sure you order the one with the “converter” shim.

This is surprisingly a great replacement! Fit great, comfortable in the hand. Way cheaper than replacing the reel.

Comfortable grip, longevity concerns?
I ordered this to replace the stock reel handle on my Lews Classic baitcaster. The foam grips seem durable and the functionality has been fine. However, when I went fishing on Saturday, I noticed that one of the caps on the knobs had come off. This produces more give in the knob and has me wondering how long it might hold up. It appears to screw in with a spanner wrench set. I have one and could have tightened it had I realized it was even loose. If it comes out after just 10 or so uses, I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to use the handle.Overall, it’s good for the 15 paid, but I wish the integrity was a bit better. I don’t think I would pair this with a more expensive reel.

The camo handle came off because the cheap plastic. Imagine you have a fish on and your handle is off, of course you lose the fish!
