A very nice addition to my home gym.
This set of MERACH adjustable dumbbells are cleverly and intelligently designed. They are compact, and weights can be added or removed easily as you go stronger or want to try different routines. The basic dumbbell weighs 1kg, or 2.2 pounds, which may be a bit much for some people recovering from injuries.The product page says these are cast iron, but they are covered in a strong plastic. Each disc adds 1/2 kg, so adding them in pairs to maintain balance adds 1 kg, although you could add only one disc if your routine doesn’t require them to be balanced. They are easy to add, and easy to remove. The maximum weight is 4 kg each, and the weights have flats on opposite sides to keep them from rolling.I like these a lot, and the only downside is that the minimum weight is 2.2 pounds, but I don’t think it’s worth deducting a star for that. I do need a lighter pair, so I got an inexpensive pair of 1-pound dumbbells as a starter set.

A very bad purchase
As a retired physical education teacher, really liked the concept of adding weight as you progress in exercise. Unfortunately I picked a company that writes a good ad but doesnât deliver. Even getting a refund for weights I never got was extra work. I definitely do no recommend Merach.I have communicated with various people at Merach since I first placed the order for weights for my granddaughter about a month ago. I ended up asking for a full refund & getting it. But this company was not happy that I was not satisfied their company & wanted to offer me a free set of weights. I had already purchased weights from another company & received them. Finally agreed to small massage gun which I will give to my oldest grandson who works at an Amazon warehouse & comes home after work tired & achy. It arrived today which was very fast delivery. I do appreciate that Merach does stand behind their product & has good customer service.

Garbage
Canât get the weights to separate, come with no instructions, crap product. The whole point is for the weights to separate so they are adjustable. Incredibly disappointed. This was a holiday gift. Iâve tried multiple times now.

So simple to use and very little storage space required
I just joined a gym so that I wouldn’t have to have a closet full of free weights, but if I’m going to drive to the gym, I want to spend an hour there, and some mornings, I just want to spend 15 minutes doing body weight or light free weight exercises to deal with stiffness or promote good posture for the day. I didn’t know that there was a design out there for free weights like this. This is really perfect as they take very little room to store. Since they don’t have round ends, I can use them for stability exercises and they won’t roll around in the closet. The handle feels thinner than what I’d prefer as my grip can be a little painful in the mornings, but otherwise I can’t find any fault with them. It’s easy to add and remove weight and the increments feel ideal for where I personally am at with weight training. I am really thrilled with these!

Decently accurate weight. Easy to adjust remove/add counterweights.
This weight set is nice because it can help to keep your workout area neat. I currently have about 3 sets of different weight sets that take up a decent amount of area in my workout room. Plus, they’re small enough that if I’m not careful, I could trip over them.This set is nice because if you want to adjust the weight, all you have to do is remove or add a counterweight onto the handle. And, the weights appear to be secure once the counterweights are slipped into place. takes a little bit of concentration at first to get into the groove of figuring out how to add/remove the counterweights. But, it doesn’t take long before adding/removing weights becomes second hand.The included instructions provide guidance for installing/removing the counterweights. Each counterweight has a raised v-ish shaped area that slides into the mating weight which has a v-ish shaped notch. The top of the raised area and notch is approximately 2mm smaller than the bottom of the raised area and notch (see photo 1). You know when the counterweight is set when you hear a click once it slides into place.The handle of the two included weights weighed in at 2 pounds 6.0 oz and 2 pounds 5.9 ounces (see photo 2). The counterweights pieces weighed in at anywhere from 1 pound 2 oz to 1 pound 2.5 oz. The end pieces weighed anywhere from 1 pound 1.6 ounces to 1 pound 2.1 ounces. (see photo 3).I randomly grabbed and added three weights onto each end of the handle. The total weight was 9 pounds 2.6 ounces and 9 pounds 2.4 ounces, which is a tad bit more than the 8.8 on the product listing. But, for my purposes, it is fine.I really liked the fact that the counterweights have a flat area on it so that the weights don’t roll. When I put my weights down, I like to know that they won’t move to a place that I’ll trip over it (see photo 4).The other thing I really like about this weight set is that the handle fits my hand perfectly (see photo 5). For reference, my hand measures 6.25″ from the bottom of my palm to the top of my middle finger.

MERACH Adjustable Dumbbell Set of 2â â â â â (5.0 Stars!)”These are nice, just in time for the snowy days!”, exclaims my better half, a follower of a popular YT fitness guru for her home training.She love the fact that she gets to clean the dumbbell set after each use, unlike the members’ gym gear she uses. Also, that both dumbbells are modular, each in four increments of about two pounds (measured in kgs.). The additional weights are designed to snap easily in place, and likewise easy to detach. They are also compatible with dumbbell weights and equipment in her gym, so all she needs to bring in her car for gym days are the handles and minimum 2-pound weights.Made of smooth cast iron, the set should last for many years.Overall, reasonably priced, home gym gear that should last for years.
