So far so good
I like this vent cover very much and have faith that I found the right one. It was a replacement for one that was less than a year old. This one seems much sturdier and it looks good. It was super easy to install, the old one was taken off and the new one installed in about a half-hour. I’m in the northeast and hope it makes it through the winter. I like the magnetic closure, it appears to work well and closes up tight.

Install was easy â took me about 15 minutes, tops! Iâm very happy with the quality, the snug fit, and the wide range of color choices. It really blends in with my brick, the previous vent was an eyesore.Update: I Iiked the product so much I wanted to use them on my exterior bathroom exhaust vents. I called the company to see if they would work for this application and they said they do! I donât think it mentions it in the product description so I figured itâd update my review. They work really well and having all the vents match is so satisfying, very happy X 3!

Could be a little better
I had to slightly trim the interior flap hinge area to get it to completely shut. Not a big deal but Iâd prefer to avoid tinkering. Other than that it works fine and wasnât too much of a hassle to install. Testing showed perfect function while my dryer was running. It makes for a clean install, unlike the old-style louvered vents.

This may be the best option for dryer vent covers I’ve seen
I purchased this for use on a dryer vent that caps a LONG run of air hose … about 20 feet. Previous caps have either failed to open due to insufficient air pressure, or failed to close due to lint buildup. This one seems to solve both issues: both the inner and outer doors opened wide with moderate air pressure, and the magnetic catch on the outer door was sufficient to close it against pest and air backflow as soon as the dryer shut off. Manufacturing quality is solid, the color is consistent throughout, and fastening it to the wall is straightforward. Recommended!

Nice improvement
Always surprised of the amount of lint that gets by the dryer filter and collects on the vent screen. Newer dryers are even worst. We live in the woods in a log house so we always need pest guards. Clean the vent line with brush once a year. Dyer performance and reducing potential fire risk reasons for purchase.This new vent requires no screening, seals better and improves air flow. Should save on energy to dry clothes and when not using by having a better seal.Non-typical installation was easy using the hardware provided. Closes reliably when new. Offers better access for future duct cleaning.So impressed ordered a second one for a bathroom fan vent. Donât have the lint issue but need a better seal when off.Installed for bathroom fan. Seals nicely when off. Can tell it improved airflow from the old hood.Simple, well designed, well made, easy to install and maybe save some money too on energy bills.Recommended to friends.

Great double wall design
Purchased the 6 inch version for my hood range and I’m very pleased with it. Its sleek, modern design perfectly complements my home’s aesthetic, and it’s been incredibly effective at improving air circulation. There is a little magnet that helps keep the vent closed when not in use so you get a better seal. Magnet is just the right strength to grab but also release when needed.I received one with a broken hinge and sent an email to the company. They immediately sent a replacement. Great customer service who stand behind their product!Overall, I’m highly satisfied with my purchase. It’s a great investment for anyone looking to improve their home’s ventilation. I also bought the 4 inch version for my dryer!

MEH. Don’t waste your money.
The stack that comes with it absolutely sucks. You more or less get one chance to really put this thing on your existing stack from inside the house without messing it up. Furthermore this doesnt seem anymore pest resistant than the existing unit i replaced. The magnet is pathetically weak and i still have to manually press on the door if i want it to close the door and inner flap.

This vent works fantastic! My clothes actually dried quicker with this vent installed. No more room for lint and hair to get trapped. Always amused me at how quick the old vent would fill up with lint making the dryer eventually through up an error code.An added bonus is that due to the design, it makes it incredibly easy to open up and push a rotating duct brush through the pipe and out the exterior, making duct cleaning fast and simple. The exterior larger door does have a magnet to shut the door closed when not in use.Just be sure that it is installed leveled or else the doors won’t shut correctly and may allow pests, cold air to get in.
