   Excellent home system
   This is the fourth at-home IPL hair removal device I’ve tried in a couple of years. It is one of my favorites.- This design is much easier to handle. I have small hands, and I have found that I get a lot less hand fatigue compared to the traditional design (the long kind). It is also much easier to reach hard-to-reach places (another gripe about the traditional ones I’ve tried.) Sometimes it can require a bit of flexibility (or a partner), and that is less the case with this one.- Very good cooling function. Cools evenly, and feels great.- All IPL devices can, of course, overheat when used too long or using them in a hot environment. Though safeguards are built in, it’s always best to read through the warnings and guidelines. On the lowest two levels, I have had no issues. It can be annoying to not go as fast as a professional machine, but this is a home machine so it is not as powerful.- This one is very transparent about the life of your IPL device. There is a counter on the handle, which shows the life of the device.- It’s very comfortable and painless to use. It gets a little hot if you’re going fast on a higher setting, but the cooling effect helps balance that. If you are worried about how it will feel, just try it out somewhere with not a lot of sensitivity, like the upper thigh. But for real, it’s like eating cake compared to waxing.- Fairly intuitive, as far as controls. Be sure to read the instruction manual first.- Noticeable hair reduction after 2 weeks of use. Consistency is key, and it’s better to do this kind of treatment during the winter months than when it’s bright and sunny. (For reference, I have pale skin and dark, coarse hair, which is the ideal type for IPL.)- I recommend following up with a rich moisturizing cream or lotion afterward, as it can be a little bit drying on the skin.Overall, I would recommend this device to friends and family who are looking for a decent at-home IPL system.

   Complicated to Use
   The device is a bit complicated to use. I tried following the instructions but they were a bit confusing to get the machine up and running. It’s not an instant fix – it takes a while to complete the treatment. The headline touts the ability to use it all over your body, but reading the instructions says not to use on various sensitive areas.

   Seems to be working
   I’ve always wanted to try one of these IPL hair removal devices and I like this one. I’ve been using it on a small spot every couple days for the last couple of weeks. It seems to be working! I’m excited to try it on some more spots.Since I’ve only used it on a small spot thus far, I haven’t experienced any issues with overheating. The device is comfortable enough to hold in my hand while using without being an issue so far. I like that this has a counter so I can see how much life is left but I don’t imagine I’ll reach the 500,000 flashes that is has. It is currently listed for 199 with a 99 coupon so great at that price!

   High end
   I check out a lot of IPL. You can tell this one is ion the higher end scale. It says 17J although I see 19J commonly. So that would be one negative besides the price. A second con would be only 500,000 flashes vs. unlimited although I’ve never seen anyone complain about running out. This is also the first time I’ve seen anyone mention overheating on any other IPl device. I don’t think it’s a general problem.It does include cooling.Overall, of you can stomach the price, this is a higher level version for people that are serious about IPL
