Fun little kit!
We had a lot of fun doing this kit with our kids. The gems and crystals are beautiful and make for a nice collection. It comes with a book to learn about each one, which is awesome. If youâre looking for a fun and educational activity to do with your kids, this is the way to go.

Fun discoveries!
I purchased this for my 6 year old boys birthday. He is having so much fun finding several gems and âreal life â gold! Weâre Rich!!â My 9 year old daughter is probably more excited doing it with him and loves the discovery process. Definitely worth the purchase and now will need to buy more!!

Great gift and activity!
We got this for a gift for our sonâs 7th bday and he LOVED it! He got right into it and it kept him busy for a good hour or so. Every rock/gem he found was welcomed by a burst of excitement! It can get pretty messy so itâs a good outdoor project. I wouldnât recommend it for kids under 4. The rocks can be kinda small and might need extra help from an adult or older kid. He did the shark tooth kit around Christmas time and he loved that as well. Super fun and recommend it to a friend.

Lots of gems
I purchased this for my 8 year old nephew and it did not disappoint. There were so many gems in it and the value for the money was well worth it. It kept him busy and curious for quite a while.

Very entertaining for the kids
I got this on a deal so great value for the money for me. I think the National Geographic kits are great. The quality is decent. Sure, itâs messy but the kids enjoy looking for all the stones and fossils or whichever kit you bought. None of these kits some with large stones. You arenât really buying it for that. This is more for the thrill of finding them. If you just want large stones itâs probably best to buy them separately or maybe a much more expensive kit may have them. My kids have done these and this one is a gift. My nephew loves looking for the stones and gems.

Purchased for grandkids
Grandkids loved it. I purchased two for grandkids living at different location. One was completed outside and the other inside. You definately need plastic or newspaper (which is a thing of the past for young adults), along with a spare container with some water to put rocks in when they find the rocks. Paper towels are also needed. Of course it’s a bit messy as expected but they loved finding them.

Bought for my son and he sat for hours digging out the rocks. He loved it. Alittle messy but Ofcourse comes with digging! Highly recommend!!

This product is exactly as described. It was a gift for my 5 year old daughter’s birthday and she was able to do it on her own. The water really helps to soften it up to make it easier. A little messy, but it kept her busy and kills time so it’s worth it! She really loves it and the gemstones she has found so far are great!
