   Perfect! Perfect!
   Damaged my knees hiking in the Alps a couple of years ago. Two arthroscopic surgeries and years of physical therapy later, it was all I could do to walk even short distances without experiencing pain. It was my good fortune to happen across a pair of these sneakers while out shopping one day. I feel like someone waved a magic wand! They are lightweight, well cushioned to protect from impact, comfortable, and provide excellent support. I have purchased three pairs here on Amazon. I’m literally living in these sneakers; the variety of great color combinations make them fun to wear with anything . Love the snazzy laces, too. They’re a perfect fit right out of the box, and are well-made.

   Awesome!
   Right before the Hawaii Iron Man 11 years ago, I was hit by a car while running. I was throwing 56 feet and nearly killed. 11 surgeries and 11 years of physical therapy later and I can walk again! I’m doing trails now because it’s so much easier on my joints, so I set up to buy trail shoes. I have an exercise science BS and exercise medicine MS, so I understand biomechanics, but shoes have evolved greatly in the last couple years. I did some research and tried on literally 15 pairs of the top trail shoes.I wanted at least one pair that were waterproof (GTX). I need shoes that are lightweight, narrow/low volume, neutral, straight-lasted, max cushioned yet with road feel, stability without motion control and built to last. I thought I’d have to compromise, but I didn’t! I chose these for the waterproof ones. They have added to protection for trails, also. I might have liked the Hoka Challenger ATX 7 GTX Better but couldn’t find it in my size. Plus I got a good deal on these on Amazon. I have to admit the ones I like even better than these are the Brooks Caldera 6 that I also got a good deal here on Amazon. They’re not waterproof and don’t have much toe protection, but they are the most cushioned yet stable shoes I’ve ever worn.FYI, this listing offers the Hierro in both GTX and non-GTX models, so pay attention when you order. GTX models will have a tag on the side at the ankle that says Gore-Tex and the listing should say GTX. Also note that GTX is waterproof, which is superior to those that just say water resistant or shield. Also, I bought the ones with the image showing the shoes as light gray with light blue accent color, but mine came all light blue. That’s fine with me, but just so you know. My photo looks a little washed out.

   Perfect fit!
   I bought these without trying on anywhere and that’s always a risk!They fit perfect at the normal size that I order (9.5 wide). They’re great on trails but I actually love them on pavement and treadmill too! They are a great color, don’t look dirty even with trail dust and are so comfy!

   Nice cushion trail shoe
   These have good cushion and the traction is great. My only complaint is that the New Balance wide is not like it used to be. It needs more room for the toes not just the widest part of the foot. I wear a 10 but always go up a half size for running shoes. The 10.5 wide fits pretty good, just wish they had more room for the toes.

   Comfort and goretex
   I had limited packing space for a Vancouver trip with hiking/national park excursions. They are heavier than a NB rebel but not at all like a weighted clunky hiking shoe. Perfect for touring the city or exploring trails and parks with that fresh foam feeling. My feet didn’t hurt after 6-10 hour days of constant walking in a city or park. Easy to rinse off debris. I wasn’t on really rocky terrain so can’t speak to pebbles getting caught. Felt secure on multiple types of terrain. True to size (don’t run small like some NB).I got the Starlight which is pretty but also neutral enough to go with jeans/casual meals.*Make sure you purchase the ones that say Goretex if you want your socks to stay dry.

   Great traction and oh so comfy!
   I am an avid runner. I run about 10 miles a day. I am 5’5 115 lbs and normally wear a size 7 1/2. These shoes are true to fit giving you that added toe space for movement. I absolutely fell in love with these shoes! I was gifted a pair similar but way more expensive in the past and was so glad to come across this pair. The shoe is a lightweight, comfortable and has great traction. Don’t let the lip on the back of the shoe throw you off. It adds extra traction and comfortability to the shoe. I don’t even notice it running. I have tried these shoes on all sorts of terrain including; pavement, dirt ,as well as muddy and wet trails. I’m a clumsy trail runner so I am glad for the “toe protect” on the shoe. As I mentioned the shoes is light weight and gets great airflow making it. great running shoe for warmer months.

   Lasted 3 months
   I run everyday and the rocky trails are pretty hard on my shoes but I’ve never had to replace them so soon. I have wide feet so I typically love new balance shoes but these just didn’t last . When I first got these shoes they fit well and provided a lot of support. It’s been barely 3 months and they are already falling apart. I’m pretty dissapointed because they were so comfy when I first got them. The laces needed to be relpaced after a month and now the inner lining on both shoes is torn exposing sharp pieces inside that rub against my feet, causing pain and blisters.

   ZERO PROBLEMS New favorite trail/hiking shoes!
   I bought these for a trip to replace my old hiking boots as we typically keep our hikes under 10 miles round trip nowadays—I wore these one the Mist trail in Yosemite for the first time, hiked the whole trail to the top (over 1000 elevation, about 6 miles), and back with ZERO problems. I wore athletic ankle socks with the shoes and had no discomfort, tightness, rubbing, blisters, soreness in my arch or toes, nothing! I was amazed by the end of the trail.Really excited about these shoes and the adventures they will take me.
