Astonishingly Bright
This device is not a toy. Upon picking it up for the first time, it’s immediately obvious that this is a premium piece of kit. It’s fairly small but surprisingly hefty, the design is sleek, build quality is excellent (all components seem extremely well-machined with tight tolerances), and most importantlyââit puts out an absurd amount of light. No, seriously. This thing is complete overkill in the best way possible.Unless you’re regularly riding nasty, technical trails in complete darkness, it’s actually quite dangerous to use the higher brightness levels. I have this light mounted on top of my helmet, and I can honestly say I feel just as safe riding my electric skateboard at night as I do during the day because THIS LIGHT RADIATES PHOTONS LIKE A SMALL SUN.Beam pattern is excellent, hundreds of feet of throw (even more when mounted to my helmet) that blends seamlessly into a short-range flood.Speaking of which, the side-illumination feature is a game-changer. It simultaneously preserves your peripheral vision and reduces contrast across your field of view, making it much easier on the eyes. You’ll find yourself feeling way more confident and situationally-aware while riding, and I honestly couldn’t imagine going back to my old setup.Battery life is more than adequate for my purposes, although Turbo mode is a huge power hog (in my opinion, the 90 minute runtime on the 1500 lumen setting is way more useful than the 45 minute runtime on the 1800 lumen setting).I didn’t use the provided mount, but the hardware seems sturdy enough.Overall, highly recommend this to anyone who wants the baddest, brightest self-contained light in this price range.Oh, and just a final reminder, if you use this thing on max brightness YOU WILL BLIND AND BEWILDER EVERY LIVING CREATURE YOU ENCOUNTER.Safe riding!

Great Light for Mt. Biking
I’ve been riding at night for years with many different lights. I really like the NiteRider lights and currently have 4 of them in various models. This review is for the Lumina Dual 1800. As lights have gotten brighter over the last few years I tend to keep using the lower lumen lights to keep my peripheral vision as I ride. Overly bright lights tend to steal your side vision and make you feel like you are riding in a tunnel. I purchased this light with the expectation that I could ride primarily on Low and Medium settings (I use a helmet mounted light as well) and that would give me extra run time as my rides run from 2.5 to 3 hours. This light has a great spread of light (more wide flood than a spot) and is awesome as a bar mounted light, easy to mount, easy to operate on the bike and the charger adaptor works well. The only disappointment I have with the light is that I can not make it last longer than the smaller Lumina 1000, or 850 that I also use. That being said the light has never failed me it simply has shown the low battery warning light and it has continued to operate even when it takes me 20 min to get out of the woods. When you understand that this light is slightly bigger that other Lumina, it is also is two lights in one so it makes since that it burns through the charge faster than it’s little brothers. I would fully recommend this light to any bike rider Mt. or Road, but my experience is only on a Mt. Bike on both very technical and flow trails. One other note to all Mt Bike riders who are learning to ride at night, You Don’t Need a Tail Light!!! If you must use a tail light, and you ride with others, please turn it off while on the trail, then back on if you ride on the road to get home.

Bright light!
Well made light. I use this for mountain biking at night and it’s very bright with multiple setting. Would buy again but I believe it will last a long time.

The Best Lumina Lights
I bought three Lumina 1000 Boost lights with the horrible micro USB charging. The ports cracked and fell apart. I previously had awesome Niterider products. This is after 1994 Cyclops, Digital Pro-12, Blowtorch HID Niterider lights.Getting into three of these Lumina 1800 lights with the 120v charging adapters, zero issues. The wide twin lense is a million times better than the single lense lights. I run two of the 1800s on the bars, one on the helmet. Insane for night rides.

Only slow blinking mode
I would have given this 5 stars, but it only has slow blinking, then very slow blinking. It doesn’t have the fast blinking mode of the older NR headlamps, which is a huge attention-getter for motorists. Good points: very bright lamp and it survived being dropped onto concrete from 6 feet.

Great product⦠But !!
Great product but useless to me diameter of handle bars too small would not clamp down I own a Worksman NYC beach cruiser $1500 bike . Light does not clamp down enough to use I wrapped rubber tire tube and electrical tape to build up it finally got it to hold up but not ideal no fault of the company that makes the light just a heads up to all measure the diameter of your handle bars

Best light I’ve ever had
I’ve been night riding for more than 20 years and have gone through many lights, this is by far the best and even better than my old $500 HID light from Light and Motion. Brighter than a car light, when I’m on the road I tend to use it on the low or medium setting, rarely do I need more light than that. I use it on a 25 mph ebike so it has to throw far enough to see beyond my stopping distance and this accomplishes that. With the diffuser lense on the front it gives the most even and soft light wider than other lights with no harsh edges to distract. I buy an overpowered light like this on purpose to use the lower settings and get more range. When on boost mode it does get very hot, almost to the point of burning your hand, so careful, the heat sinks work and produce a lot of heat. Get one, you’ll love it. Coming from a night time mountain bike racer, a long time ago. Picture shows it mounted on a Planet Bike Fork Mount Bike Headlight Bracket also a great product.

Have not used it yet. Looks solid. The charger is NOT from a USB, that’s too bad since driving to the trails, the car has a USB connection, NOT a UK A/C plug!! The company is supposed to be from California but the shipment is from Jersey in the UK. Maybe that explains the charger plug? The price I paid was $208 now it is $280 on Amazon; inflation is a killer. I’ll buy a $22 adapter so the charger will work. Not the end of the world but not great either.

When I first turned it on I thought I was being beckoned by the lord almighty himself.. I live in Yorkshire and do a fair bit of night riding down old country lanes ect. Often with large trees and no street lights so a bright light was a must.. This light doesnât disappoint..

The battery charger that came with the light isn’t compatible with standard plug ins for north america.
