Works perfectly for me
I bought a DeskCycle Ellipse back in 2021 but stopped using it after a few months. Besides taking up leg room when I would inevitably wanted to stretch them, the main issue I had was that the Ellipse would slowly slide on the hardwood floor as I pedaled, leading it to become misaligned with my feet. It became crooked fairly quickly as well since I used a higher resistance level. After trying to come up with a solution a few times(including buying rope to tie the handlebar to my chair legs), I ultimately retired it to the closet as I couldn’t stand it. It was only last week when I saw this and realized that I could’ve had a very simple solution. After testing it for a week, it hasn’t budged much, or at least it hasn’t to my senses.Now the downside is that it won’t budge at all if I didn’t place it down exactly straight so it annoying to set up but that’s what I wished for I suppose. More useful on hard floors
My office is carpeted, and if anything, this makes the elliptical machine move more. The bottom of the machine kind of has ridges in it, and on carpet, that keeps it pretty stable – and using a mat means it doesn’t have as much grip, so to speak. All that said, if this were on hard flooring, it would likely improve the experience. The bottom that grips the carpet nicely would not work nearly as well on a hard, flat surface, so this kind of mat would be both an improvement in the use experience and protection for floors that can be scratched.

Iâm really impressed with this elliptical non-slip mat! Itâs the perfect size for my elliptical machine and provides great stability during workouts. The GSDOTZAP Non-Slip Workout Mat for Ellipse Leg Exerciser is a nice, solid mat. It is a good thickness (3mm) and is made using good-density material that should last a long time.
