Each time air passes through a Nordic Pure in. Pleated furnace filter it removes contaminants from the air. All Nordic Pure in. Pleated air filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the in. Pleats. MERV 14 furnace air conditioner filters are comparable to HVAC filters with the rating of MPR 2800. It is important to note that because of this high filtration and air flow restriction, HVAC systems should be rated to handle filters of MERV 14 and above. Nordic Pure MERV 14 air filters work great in newer, high efficiency systems that use HEPA filters. The effective life of your AC air filter depends on both the inside and outside conditions in which you live. We recommend that you change your air filter every 30-90 days to maintain maximum efficiency and economy. Important Note: Almost ALL furnace filters have a different “actual size” than the nominal size printed on the air conditioner filter. It’s best if you measure your air filter for the Exact size and compare it to our “Actual Size” – and then you can be sure your A/C air filter fits.

These are the best, most economical filters
These are the best, most economical filters I have found. Theyâre made in the USA, too. I switched from another famous brand found at my local home improvement store because the price kept increasing and the sizes I needed were not always in stock. My house uses four different filter sizes. Now, I buy a year’s supply of these at a time, and they are delivered to my door. With filters on hand, I find I replace my filters on a regular basis. Tip: Write the date of the filter change on the filter as a reminder of when you last changed it. Also, be certain to note the air flow indicator on the filter’s edge to ensure correct placement.

Really good filters
These filters are really good. We purchased them on recommendation from Wirecutter. We were looking for a filter that filters allergens. We have two pets and several busy people living in our house. Our air stays reasonably clean all day long.I do want to give out two warnings:1. We have a brand new HVAC system. Our HVAC technician did note that in their experience, these high-rated filters can make the blower work harder. I was very worried after this comment and researched about how the flow rate and wear on the blower can be affected by the filter. I’m not worried that this filter will wear our newer system because newer systems are made to work and adapt with these filters. However, if you have an older HVAC system, your situation may be different.2. Because these filters clean a lot of contaminants out of the air, they will get dirty quicker. In the area of my house where the HVAC system runs more, I have to change the filters every 2-3 months. In areas where it runs less, I have to change the filters every 3-4 months.

When you need more than the cheap filters
HVAC tech cautioned against using those super filters that end up stressing the air system like trying to drink a thick milk shake through a straw. These pleated filters provide more coverage than the basic filters, but allow enough air to flow without straining the system. A win win.

Filters air for my subconscious
Works as good as any other filter. I never notice after I replace them. Or before. But they tell me I should do it every once in awhile.My psyche has a different story. I will say I feel better in general about using these superior filters versus cheap bottom shelf ones I find at Golden Corral. They definitely improve my outlook. It’s all in my mind and I appreciate what they’re doing for it. Plus, who doesn’t like carbon? How else do you make an accurate copy of something? Elevators to space?Look, apparently we have too much in our atmosphere so why not put it to good use. Carbon is life.(Full disclosure: I use Gmail not Outlook. And I always CC.)

purchased these because of their MERV rating and price. 12 filters at this price is a fantastic deal. Our house uses two different filter sizes, this being the larger of the two. For some strange reason, the smaller filters are more expensive.I was contemplating getting permanent, washable filters, but at this price, I cannot justify the expense.One con I noticed is that the filters seem to be a bit smaller than the 3M Filtrete filters I had been using. When the unit would turn on, the filter made a loud noise as it moved around in the housing. The filter housings in our house have bendable tabs to compensate for varying filter sizes. After adjusting quite a bit, the filters no longer move around.Time will tell if these work as advertised. So far, we like them and being a 36-month supply, we cannot find a better price for the level of filtering.

I received the filters a few days before the promised delivery schedule. No damages at all upon receipt of the filters. Good quality.It fits well into the filter slot of the fan coil. I noticed there is much less dust in my condo unit since I use this filter. This works much better than the fibreglass filters normally use in condo units. The added carbon absorbs most of the cooking smell from my neighbours before the smell travels to the inside of the fan coil unit. The air filter works great.

Received the filters earlier than the promised scheduled date. There were no damages on the filters.I bought the filters for my fan coil in my condo unit. The size of the filters are perfect fit for the fan coil. I did not know if carbon air filters will be able to clear the cooking smell from my neighbours. The smell got into the fan coil from the air return. I bought the carbon air filters to see if they could absorb the smell. I now have used it for a few days which works really well. The smell is no longer coming through the fan coil air return into the air duct. It is very pricey but it’s worth a try since it really works. I am hoping that the price of the filters could be a little more affordable. Mostly likely I will buy them again.
