Hot chocolate on cold days, Wife and grandkids love it
The retro style and look are very pleasing. The easy to use spout is a plus and the unit is easy to clean. It makes a sound when its operating but that’s to be expected, however it’s not excessive or annoying.You need to keep an eye on it while it’s making the beverage because it doesn’t automatically cut off when it’s done. Not a problem because you can regulate just how hot you want your drink to be.Bottom line is I like it, as well as my wife, and would buy it again.

Best for price, excellent for Christmas
This product lasts about 2.5 yrs with seasonal use. This is the 3rd time weâve gotten this product. All of them will get a residual gunk over the heating element after each use and you need to be sure to clean under the silicone or it will start to get mold under the seal. Buying some dish detail cleaners is all you need to clean it. It is loud but it does the job and doesnât bust the bank. To make our hot chocolate we put in milk and add whatever chocolate we have on hand. Usually itâs just a handful of chocolate chips, but during Christmas or other holidays just throw all that crap chocolate you get in and turn it on. Itâs delicious! Best way to use it!

I really like this little machine! It makes great hot chocolate. I prefer using milk and it doesnât overheat it at all which I was concerned about. The froth was amazing the first two times I used the machine and then after that it seemed to be a bit less frothy, but still ok. The one thing I donât like is the hot chocolate sticks to the silver plate on bottom and you really have to scrub it off. Aside from that itâs easy to use and easy to clean. I made some for a event and put it into a carafe to stay hot and everyone said it was the best hot chocolate theyâd ever had (I used whole milk and Ghirardelli hot cocoa powder)

I love this frother! I make my hot chai tea latte every morning in it. I used to use my microwave, but I love how this makes the tea with the froth. I highly recommend!

Works well and simple to use.
I am impressed with this hot cocoa maker.After running 6-8 mins it is plenty hot enough.The big lid makes it convenient to add ingredients(I use whole milk, hot cocoa, a little powdered coffee creamer, powdered malted milk and a small squirt of Hersheyâs chocolate syrup).I put marshmallows on the top after we draw our cups.It has been quite handy for me to be able to make some hot chocolate to take in a thermos, to my grand daughterâs ice-skating lessons.

Works great, for a few weeksâ¦..
This is our 4th, and last, of these hot chocolate makers. We received the first one as a gift a few years ago and it lasted one Winter before giving out. Each subsequent one we have purchased has lasted less time. This one we received on Nov 13th of this year and it went into the trash on December 17th, no longer heating the milk or frothing as quickly.When new, these work great, for a short time. They prepare a larger quantity than most hot chocolate makers on the market and clean up easily. Our only complaint is the durability. After 2.5 weeks, this last one started taking longer and longer to heat a single hot chocolate serving. On the 15th of December, it took almost 20 minutes to heat the hot chocolate. On the 16th, the motor hummed but it no longer mixed.

Why is it so hard to make a good hot chocolate maker?
After a month of using, I feel I can give a better review. It is easy enough to use: add milk, add chocolate, turn it on. For a family, the 4 cups of milk is nice since kids have a hard time waiting for anything. The spigot is nice, if only it didn’t drip incessantly the moment you add the milk–be sure to have something there to catch the drips. The only two options to turn it on is “froth” and “heat froth”. This is great if you want 3 inches of foam on top of your drink. You get these 3 inches because it takes so long to heat up. Be careful if you like “hot” chocolate, you may get chocolate butter. Further, if you use the spigot, you don’t get any of that foam, it stays behind to give you a headache while cleaning. It is really loud. It sounds like the used the smallest motor they could find that would spin, but when adding any liquid becomes very overworked.I’m okay giving it some stars because it does mix and warm chocolate–it sure beats warming and ladleing on the stove. It isn’t fun to clean since the heating element is part of the pitcher. We do use it weekly and enjoy it but there are so many issues that could be improved.

I’m confused by this product only have 4.3 stars. I would give it 10 if I could! We have discovered cocoa and so we use this baby two to three times per day and it works perfectly every time! I thought because it was just a very basic machine that it wouldn’t work wonderful but I was wrong. It heats quickly and never leaves clumps in the powder (sometimes we add other powders such as collagen) and never an issue. It is simple but does exactly what we need and has lasted us a long time now. We kept thinking because of how little we paid for it that it wouldn’t last so long but it’s still going strong! Love it! The only tiny nit picky thing we would suggest is a way for the top to come apart for easier cleaning, however, maybe that would cause other problems like leaks. If you’re hesitating just buy it – you’ll thank me later. I’m giving one of these with raw cocoa for Christmas gifts this year!

My family and i got this a month before christmas. We made hot chocolates every couple days. Makes it fun for the kods to pour it out. The froth function is awesome . great addition to any family room

This shorted out our electricity on first use. Foolishly perhaps, we assumed if Amazon were selling it within the U.K., the chocolate frother must be compatible with U.K. vaultage. This was decidedly not the case. The air smells like burnt plastic and the chocolate maker is broken after only seconds of use. Avoid.
