works great
needed to run a pump for 30 minutes a day for a cattle water tank. setup and wiring was easy, I checked my wiring on a you tube video and every thing was correct. have been using analog timers, but they only last about a year or two. hope this one lasts a lot longer.

Good value
Download the manual from the produce website, much easier to understand than what comes with the unit.Comes with a battery backup, easy to use daylight saving and standard time setting. Works with 110 volt to 277 volt with no user input needed, as the unit senses the timer input voltage.

Was great replacement for analog timer
Good product. Used as replacement for another brand timer that had to replace 1 year after installation. This one was fairly easy to install although it didn’t work the first time I connected everything. It comes with instructions( I did read through them) and everything looked good. Ended up going to Youtube for instructions and saw that I needed a jumper wire from the incoming terminal to the light terminal in order to turn on the lights. Programs easily and works great.

Easy to install, but watch a Youtube video on the wiring, as the schematic is a bit opaque
Needed to replace a mechanical Tork timer switch – which had problems almost from the moment it was installed – and figured I may as well go digital to avoid the aggravation of dealing with the switch-tripper things. The switch/wiring is located inside the garage, so won’t be exposed to the elements – I mention this because the timer is in a plastic housing that seems fine for indoor use, but I don’t know that it would stand up to more than a few New England winters.Installation and wiring this is pretty easy. There’s a decent amount of space in the enclosure to accommodate the wires without things feeling cramped or the result looking like a rat’s nest (though the location of the ground lug is a bit ungainly). The wiring schematics that come with the switch are accurate but also kind of useless – I’m not a novice with electrical repairs, but I stared at them for a few minutes before realizing I’d need to use some jumpers. A digression on that.. you *will* need to use jumpers, so ensure that you have spare wire and wire nuts handy before you start the project. Fortunately, if you google “Tork DTU40 wiring”, the NSI company has put up some short, straightforward videos on Youtube that illustrates the wiring set-up from start to finish. Any homeowner capable of using a screwdriver and a pair of needle-nosed pliers can install this in about 20 minutes, including the time spent watching the aforementioned video…A note on something counter-intuitive – when I wired this up and turned the power to the circuit back on, the LED indicating power from the supply came on, but the LED indicating power to the Load did not, and trying to turn the switch on via the manual override button also didn’t work. I figured I’d wired it up screwy, and was getting ready to do the whole thing over from scratch, but no… it turns out I just had to set the time. Once I’d done that, everything worked fine… I didn’t see anything about that in the wiring instructions or on the videos, and it caught me off guard.Speaking of, programming the clock/timer is straightforward. If I had any complaint, it’s that the switch offers a slight excess of options – I only need it to turn a pool pump on and off at the same time every day – but that’s a minor gripe and too many features – while aggravating – is preferable to too few. The UI is pretty intuitive and if you can set the clock on a coffee machine and set it to make you a pot of coffee in the morning, you are well equipped to get this switch up and running.

Slightly larger box than the mechanical timer it replaced
Easy to program and has a lot of timing options. It requires a separate power wire for each of the two relays and the clock power. Nice to have a pair of SPST contacts which can be separately used as normally open or normally closed. The case is about 1/2â all around bigger than the old mechanical timer casing that we replaced. It also had a tab on top that we had to remove to fit the space we had. But itâs a good rugged plastic case and so far itâs working well.

because I am really mad that i wasted $73 on an item that only worked 9 weeks
Do not buy this timer if you want something that works. This is my first review, because I am really mad that i wasted $73 on an item that only worked 9 weeks. I ordered and received the item at the end of September. It was installed properly by an electrician and it’s purpose was to turn on heaters 2 times a week for one hour and then turn them off. The timer turned the heaters on and off correctly on Wednesdays and Sundays for the first 9 weeks. Since then, it will turn the heaters on and off on Wednesdays, but seems to get stuck on Sundays. It makes a buzzing sound, as though it wants to turn the heaters on, but just can’t get the job done because the internal contact won’t close and hence the buzzing sound. The first week this happened, while we were investigating what was going on and how to get the heaters to turn on, we accidentally bumped the timer and it was then able to turn the heaters on. We hoped this fixed the problem. This Sunday, no chance, it still won;t turn on automatically. We have to manually bump it again to get it going. Us having to do this, defeats the purpose of a $73 timer.

Easy and multiple voltage ready
So I purchased this to install on an ERV so I could set the timer to turn on during normal operating hours and shut off shortly after the business closes. It gave me the option to run it as I wanted and even have it off during the weekends. Not difficult to program or wire. Basic electrical knowledge is plenty.

BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
I thought I bought a BRAND NEW piece BUT when I got it you could see a lot of damage to the box and I did not get the manual or instructions with it. It had openings on the plastic frame already which means it was already opened and tried to be used. I went ahead and installed it & it does look that it is working.BUT it is NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES to do this thing.IT WAS USED and I paid FULL PRICE. Luckily it seems to be working OK, BUT I am keeping a close eye on it to be sure. As soon as something happens to it I will be returning it for BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES.SORRY for all of the above but it is the truth.

Unit was installed as a pool pump timer. The unit worked and then the LCD failed so I had to go back to the hardwire option
