Clean, functional design
I love Osprey bags. They are very well-designed. This bag is no exception. Itâs very lightweight, made from very durable materials, with nice stretchy water bottle pockets, a large âshove-itâ pocket on the front. Itâs a great bag for hiking because itâs not very big, but can carry more than enough essentials for your day/hike/whatever. It has a laptop pocket, and an opening to add a water bladder. The one thing that could use a little more attention is the organizer pocketsâ¦could use a zipper pocket and some pen slots, but otherwise, I have no criticisms.

Really really nice backpack
Excellent weight, fits under the seat in the airline perfectly. Covered by the Almighty guarantee that beats all others through Osprey. But Amazon, you really need to check your Returns. I got a granola bar in birthday cake flavor, A pair of black gloves, a hairbrush, thankfully unused, Looks like a new pink whistle, and A headlamp with Spare batteries. I did put it in the bedbug oven just to make sure Iâm not getting somebody elseâs cooties. It doesnât have a tag and it was resealed by Amazon In a plastic bag.The backpack is really nice for light school books or for day hiking or taking it on airlines. It will hold big water bottles on the side. It will also allow you to keep a laptop or hydration pack in the sleeve thatâs padded in the back. Perfect for campus or frequent travelers. The straps and back are padded, but not as heavily as some of the larger hiking backpacks. I appreciate how the chest strap does adjust. I really like how lightweight the pack is and yet how comfortable it is.

I have become a huge fan of Osprey bags, and it started with the 20L Daylite Plus backpack. I wasnât sure that I would like the yoke harness, but it is more comfortable than I imagined. It is comfortable to carry slung over one arm or fully suspended on my back. The bag is well-constructed and holds a lot. The main compartment holds my 13â MacBook Air and 11â iPad Pro in the padded sleeve, and leaves plenty of room for bulky items. The secondary and front zippered compartments hold smaller items like my ear buds, ID tag, a pad and pens, portable iPhone charger and reading glasses. I havenât used the kangaroo stash pocket much yet, but I can see how it will be useful when I travel. Because of my pleasure with the Daylite Plus backpack, I have also purchased the 24L Osprey Axis, which I did use for a car/train trip, and recently acquired the 12L Daylite Messenger Bag for toting my laptop and papers around to my classes at the university where I teach.I must admit that I was surprised that the âblackâ color of the two Daylite bags is actually a dark charcoal grayâ¦but I really like it! Iâm an Osprey fan for life!Update: As much as I love this bag, it is not made to work with heavy outerwear. The shoulder harness is too small to get on over my insulated winter coat. Also, the mesh padding on the shoulder straps grab at leather and suede jackets, making it difficult to put on. This will certainly be my Spring and Summer go-to EDC bag, but doesn’t work for me with heavy clothing. Fortunately my Osprey Axis 24L bag goes on easily with winter wear because the harness straps are longer.

Great Day Hike backpack
I purchased this bag for hiking in Alaska. It worked well with their water system. I could easily fit two Nalgene water bottles on the sides. It had great quality materials and zippers. I could fit a puff coat, sweatshirt, & raincoat in the main area. It has several additional storage areas. Plus a chest and waist strap. It fit perfectly over my suitcase handle. I appreciated the built in whistle too. Overall great quality bag in a beautiful color. If I buy again I may go bigger.

We wanted travel packs (bought two of these) for short haul travel where space is so limited. They are 20L packs that fall within the size range for entering historical sites as well. We have a wide variety of Osprey packs that have all weathered many years of use and were happy to see that Osprey offered these at a very competitive price. Comfortable, the right size and well made. Perfect.

I’m an ecologist who works outdoors and this bag has been perfect for fulfilling my needs. I can fit 2 large 40 oz water bottles in the side pockets and there is lots of space for my lunch and equipment. The side pockets are also very secure; I don’t have to worry about the bottles falling out anymore compared to my old pack. The colour was also a great choice as you can see ticks very easily. The straps back panel are very breathable and supportive and the bag still feels light and comfortable even with lots of gear in it.
