Convenient. Compact. Easy to use
Just like the title says, I love how compact and convenient it is to make cold brew. Eliminating steps in my process. I’m used to making cold brew in whatever containers I have around, and it can be kind of messy sometimes even a hassle to filter.Remember that the amounts listed in the manual are just suggestions. A guide to help you find your perfect cup. If 6oz of coffee doesn’t suit you try 5oz. it’s that easy.Regular AeroPress filters are much cheaper and fit perfectly well in this cold brewer. The slight difference in circumference is NOT an issue as they fit recessed into the threads and seal perfectly. Your brew will be clean of silt and fine dust as well as a lot smoother.I consistently find that 130-150grams of ground coffee to 710ml of water yields about 473ml of concentrate…Thats 24oz of water combined with 4.5oz of coffee grounds yielding 16oz of cold brew concentrate. I find that this concentrate is best tasting mixed with 3 parts milk or water for a 1:3 mixture. That’s 2oz of cold brew concentrate mixed with 6oz of milk or water, making an 8oz coffee drink that tastes amazing. Your milage will vary but give it a try!Using only 2oz of concentrate to make my daily coffee means that I can make 8 coffee drinks before I need to brew again.

Hits the cold brew notes I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get at home. Great coffee!
I won’t write much. The cold brew made from my home roast coffee (roasted in a nostalgia air popcorn popper), taste exactly like what I was looking for. Now I can enjoy a iced cold brew at home, or I can make some of the sweeter drinks that do best with the strong brew this produces.Easy to assemble. Easy to clean. No mess. No potential mold growth spots I have found. No leaks so far. so fast and easy to brew, and I love that I can simply place the brew container on top of the carafe and walk away while it slowly drips, as it’s supposed to for a cold brew.Good job OXO, as always.

Compact and Efficient Cold Brew Maker
I’ve been using the OXO Brew Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The design is sleek and minimalistic, fitting perfectly in my fridge without taking up too much space. The coffee it produces is incredibly smooth and delicious, with a rich flavor that rivals any coffee shop cold brew. The rainmaker system ensures even water distribution over the coffee grounds, resulting in a consistent and strong brew every time. One minor drawback is its size. I wish it had a slightly larger capacity, as I often find myself making multiple batches. However, for personal use or a small household, it’s more than adequate.Cleaning is relatively easy, thanks to the stainless steel mesh filter, though it could be a bit simpler. Overall, at around $35, it’s a fantastic value for the quality of cold brew it delivers. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy concentrated cold brew at home!

Consistent, Easy, and Strong: The OXO Compact Cold Brew Maker Delivers
Iâve been using the OXO Compact Cold Brew Maker, and itâs quickly become a favorite. Iâve tested brew times from 18 to 24 hours, and 18 hours hits the mark for the best flavor. I also played around with coffee-to-water ratios and prefer using more water for smoother extraction. Initially, I struggled with full extraction, but trial and error helped me nail it. Now, I just pour everything in and make sure the grounds are properly saturated.Iâve been using Starbucks Veranda Blend Blonde Roast, and the 12-ounce pre-ground bag costs around $8. Recently, I scored a 28-ounce bag at Target for $17, and Iâm looking at Costco for a light to medium roast, but so far, itâs mostly dark roasts there. The brewer has a solid capacity. One time, I let it sit too long and it overfilled the carafe, but I got almost 32 ounces of concentrateâenough to fill my Chameleon Cold Brew bottle. The thing is, the Chameleon concentrate (which is supposed to be diluted) doesnât hit hard enough for me. Itâs not great quality, and Iâm not surprised itâs from Texasâwhat do they know about strong coffee anyway?Overall, the OXO brewer has been a great addition to my setup. Itâs simple to use, delivers consistently strong cold brew, and makes it easy to experiment with different brewing times and coffee ratios. Highly recommend if youâre looking to step up your cold brew game.

Well-designed and compact
Very nice little cold brew maker. All the parts fit together easily and you can stack them up together when not using it. It takes up very little room in a tiny kitchen. It’s very easy to use. The cold brew coffee I make with it tastes delicious as cold coffee with cold foamed milk. I don’t like using it for hot coffee as much, not quite as flavorful as my French press or AeroPress. But it does make coffee that is not as acidic as my regular coffee and it’s great having the little carafe of cofffee in my fridge so I can quickly make a cup whenever I want.

Makes great coffee and no more leaks!
I love how easy to use this is and it makes fantastic cold brew coffee. However, after the first couple of times using it, the unit leaks around where the bottom screws onto the top part whether the white lines are lined up or not. It is really frustrating to have to continuously empty the bowl it is sat in back into the unit. Still works, but I wish it did not leak.UPDATED 7/17/2020: I figured out that the red band which was around the top of the part that screws into the base closest to the reservoir needs to be at the bottom of the screw in part farthest from the reservoir. It fits in the top notch perfectly and is hard to get out of there, so it just looks like it belongs there. Ever since I moved it down, it no longer leaks AT ALL. It is easy for the red band to move during cleaning so be careful not to or move it back down.I absolutely love this product now. I reuse the grounds 3 or 4 times (be careful to add a little less water after the first time as the grounds won’t absorb as much which can lead to the glass bottle overflowing when emptying the reservoir). Easy to clean, easy to store, and very easy to use. I love having my iced cold brew every morning at home, especially during the pandemic where I work from home.

This is a great cold brew system. Very easy to set up and use, easy to clean, and makes a great product.Be warned, the yield the manual says you’ll get (473ml of concentrate, from 700ml water in) is a bit generous and not completely cut and dry. For my first batch, I followed these instructions and yielded only about 300ml. I did use quite a dark roast bean, however, and that can lower yield (since the beans are drier and absorb more) so it wasn’t too big a concern. The coffee tasted great, with no sediment and minimal oils.My only real gripe is the lid for the carafe. the seal on the cork lid was not very snug, so if you’re not careful and try to pick it up by the top, you could drop it. Perhaps a tighter fitting lid would be worth redesigning.$52CAD seems a bit expensive for the material and relative simplicity of the design, but if you’re a fan of cold brew, you’ll get your money’s worth quickly.

I had the original full size version for 10 years before it started to leak at the seal, and replaced it with this. Even better! I prefer this static brew method to the drip type as you can leave it to brew for as long ss you like. I leave mine for 24hrs before draining for esspresso strength concentrate that I can have as a full strength shot or dilute to taste. Makes almost as much as the larger version with the benefit the brewing section easily fits in the fridge while you brew and nests to be 1/3 of the size of the original when not in use.

This is her favorite cold brewer, likes the strong brew, the small cute glass carafe to go in the fridge, the small countertop footprint, great design, easy to clean, using for 4 months now. Had to buy a second one for her to take back to university to replace the other brand we initially sent her last year as this one is so superior.
