Peer Product Review: Long-Lasting Eneloop Batteries That Never Fail
Pro:As part of Peer Product Review, I tested Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries and have been consistently impressed. They last an incredibly long time, and Iâve never had a single battery fail me in over 10 years of use.Iâve used hundreds of AA and AAA Eneloop batteries to power various electronic gadgets, and theyâve proven to be exceptionally reliable and durable.Con:The price is a bit high compared to other rechargeable batteries, and a slight price reduction would make these an unbeatable choice.Summary:Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries are an outstanding investment for anyone seeking long-lasting and reliable power solutions. They have served me well for over a decade, powering a wide range of gadgets without fail. Although slightly pricey, their durability and performance make them well worth it. Highly recommend these for anyone who values quality and longevity!

Love these batteries and they last a good long time.
Ever forget about a gadget and find it months later? These batteries often still work. If not, they still recharge. Other NIMH batteries we have bought refuse to charge when found in a dusty corner. These eneloops are the only thing I buy now after trying other less expensive options. Buy these, you won’t regret it and the slightly higher price pays off over re-purchasing others. Especially if you are looking at things which are put down and used less often.

These are the ONLY Ni-MH batteries to buy!!!
I have purchased other Nickle Metal batteries and they really suck compared to the Panasonic eneloop batteries. The self-discharge on the eneloops is almost a non-issue, but it is a huge issue with other brands. Today all of the AA and AAA cells in my home are rechargeable. So convenient. So economical. Lastly, I’m a bit of a “prepper” and I like having near permanent batteries on hand.

Done with regular batteries
I decided I am done with regular batteries and only buying rechargeables going forward and I picked a Panasonic charger and got some of these AAA and AA batteries and so far they have been great. They charge fast and last a long time.

All of Panasonics rechargeables are super.
They last nearly as long as the not-to-be-endured throwaways, and they never ever leak battery acid.

Simply the best
I have used Eneloop rechargeables for at least 15 years. My first set finally gave up the ghost last month. As an experiment, I tried a few *cough, cough* basic bargain-brand batteries. These are just a tiny bit smaller than the Eneloops, and thus they don’t last as long. They kind of make my chargers overheat, too. No bueno.I use my Eneloops in everything from a shortwave radio to click-on closet lights. Just don’t use them inside a conventional flashlight, because they discharge differently from alkalines and things could get really hot.

My favorite rechargeable batteries
These recharge nicely and work well. I just bought extra. I’ve had my original set for YEARS! I also have the accessories to convert the AA battery to fit C and D battery needs. 10/10 would recommend.

Best quality & price rechargeable batteries
I’ve been using Eneloop rechargeable batteries for near a decade. These are the highest quality rechargeable batteries on the market. I have tested them against several other brands using a West Mountain computer aided Battery tester! The test results only pit Eneloop as the clear winner for AA & AAA batteries. C, D, and 9v have other clear winners. For those who don’t know, Eneloop is owned by Panasonic. A name synonymous with electronics.

TLDR: Worlds better than traditional alkaline. Great for long term storage.I have been an eneloop user for well over a decade and will forever be one. I still have my first ever batteries in use .These batteries are reliable, them being white is nice too so I can tell them apart if they somehow get mixed with other branded batteries. I also use a marking system of dots on the top of the batteries(near the buttons tops) to label the batteries in pairs to make sure I can tell them apart and charge them accordingly. Sometimes the charger only can charge in pairs.I use these in my remotes, peripherals,Flashlights, emergency lights, radios, everywhere. Until something better comes along, I will stick with these.

Purchased in October 2019, these Eneloop AA batteries are still going strong over 3 years later. I’ve got a decent charger that ensures each cell is charged independently to the right level, which has probably contributed to them staying in great condition for so long. My only issue is the kids leave the batteries hidden in toys spread all over the house, it’s rare that more than half of them can be found in our battery caddy. But every time I eventually find them, I charge them up and they seem to bounce back, as good as new.

All are good
