Soup fast, easy and good!
I really love homemade soup; however, I really don’t have the time to simmer things for hours. The Philips SoupMaker give us the homemade vitamins and taste without the wait. I couldn’t be more delighted with the purchase, and have already recommended it to some of my family member!

Love, love, love!
Already becoming inventive with this. Like that you can set it and forget it, and when you come back still very hot. The first program makes vegetable broth which you can then make chunky by adding veggies to second program. Can’t wait to make hot chocolate in this!

Super easy! Makes a small amount.
If you are also trying to get away from as much chemical foods (like canned soups, etc.), this is something to consider. I’ve only used it to make their “tomato” soup a few times, so far, but it worked very well. Super easy to use (basically, chop up some ingredients, toss them in, add some vegetable stock, and hit a button). From reading other sites, the included recipes are hit-and-miss, and the tomato soup is a fine example of that. It is more like vegetable soup with a hint of tomato taste (it comes out brown since it is 50% vegetable stock). You can, of course, use other recipes BUT scale them properly. I saw someone make one, basing it not he side of the device, and that was too much and the unit would shut down. You really only get to fill it about halfway up to a marker inside. But, it will make several bowls of soup easily. If you can use a bread maker, rice maker, etc., you’ll find this just as easy.

Pretty much as expected.
The Phillips Soup Maker is exactly what I thought it would be. It puts a bowl of homemade soup in front of one in a jiffy. I am glad to have it available in my kitchen and as time passes, I am sure that I will be very grateful that I bought i. But, after having it only a brief time and not having exploited its full potential, perhaps, I was not bowled over by it. I hesitate to criticize it too harshly, though. I only gave it three stars for “flavor” because I really was not at all impressed with the recipes that I have whipped up out of the enclosed cookbook. The Vegan Cream of Asparagus soup was, to my mind and taste-buds, just plain awful. The Minestrone was bland and not really appealing. I hope that when I learn to adapt other recipes from other sources to this device I will be more pleased with the result. On a more positive note, I found it quite easy to clean and, with a couple of reservations, easy to use. I had intended to buy one as a gift for a friend in her eighties but I fear that she will not grasp the danger of shoving the soup maker into her dishwasher, a real No-No, so I dropped that idea. The direction book did not give me what for me, I would call intuitive instructions and I needed to refer back to it several times during my early uses. But, again, that was a learning curve. Again, on a positive note, as an appliance for the kitchen of a single person, I can see the soup maker being an asset, the only limitation being the amount of soup that it will produce. The soup maker does not prepare a meal for a crowd, a fair-sized family, or for even three healthy appetites. But, for one or two, it’s fine. So, on that basis, I recommend it.

Not smoothies
I ordered this one because it is pretty big size for my all family and easy to clean it. It is made by stainless still and seems to be durable. I couldnât wait to use it for making soy milk and smoothie.ââââââââââââââââââââ-Finally it was delivered.Yes, it is a nice design and size product and easy to be cleaned. However, I dinât agree it works great. I tried to make vegetable juice with carrot, apple and celery but it was failed. The apple, carrot and celery were still lump, not became juice. I just notified that the recipe manual in the box is only for banana, cherry and blueberries. They cannot make smoothies or juice with hard fruits or vegetables.Furthermore, there is no time screen on the lid, so it is difficult to figure out whether it was done or not.

I received my unit last night. So I had to try the smoothie function first (perfect light breakfast). I chose one the smoothie recipes in the booklet (raspberry) because I happened to have all the ingredients (frozen berries, plain yogourt, orange juice, honey). In 3 minutes, I had a delicious smoothie.I then tried a minestrone (because I had frozen veggies – viva le frozen stuff!). In 18 minutes, I had delicious vegetable soup (next time I’ll add bowtie pasta, or maybe rice.)I am so glad I ordered this soup wizard. Simply prep the ingredients, let what’s frozen defrost in the pot, put the lid on, start the process. It’s great for supper time, as you can start the soup first, and let the machine do its thing while you focus on the main course. I recommend it.
