Works for my rad expand 5 ebike
I wish this came in an ebike set with front skewer and seat post only. As it is, I have a rear wheel skewer I might put on another bike. So not truly wasted. Front went on easy. I didnt have the issues everyone else is having with the seat post. The key wants to slip off but I just used my thumb to keep it on while turning. Its tight enough I cant twist or push the seat down. I mean.. if I kick it hard enough I’m sure it will twist but I’m not doing that. You can scan the qr code and input the key and get a spare key. It works but their website has issues on mobile. It showed nothing in the cart so I did it 3 times then said out of stock. Then refresh and I had 3 in cart. Was able to check out eventually. And I dont think registering ever worked. I can now carry 1 less cable when locking the bike. I feel like the pinwheel skewer might even be harder to defeat casually than a cable.

Easy to install
These were very easy to install and worked perfectly to replace my quick release system. Only time will tell how these deter thieves, but for the time being I feel much more confident locking up my bike.

Essential peace-of-mind for city bike riding
I live and San Francisco, and had previously let my bike sit around for almost an entire year for fear that if I rode it somewhere a piece would get stolen off. This product is a little pricey, but it gives me peace-of-mind to park my bike in the city, and there’s not much else that can.Pros:+ Relatively easy install.+ My wheels and seat have yet to be stolen, so it works.+ Key-id means I don’t have to stress about losing my key.Cons:- Wheel locks are one-size-fit-all, meaning they will probably be a little long for your needs. They come with little plastic bumpers to cover the extra length, but these will nearly immediately fall off (or be taken off from would-be thieves). The excess on the back tire has a tendency to snag on your pants or possibly scrape your ankles.- Key is a little bulky, but a necessity to carry around when you ride in case you need to replace a tire (this is a pretty minor con).Make sure you also get a strong u-lock to go along with these pieces, and don’t make the mistake I made of getting one that’s too big. The smaller, the better for bike safety, as it makes leverage attacks more difficult.

Great additional security for bikes on college campuses.
These skewers are well made and arrived (wheels x 2 and seat post lock) in perfect condition with the exact same key pattern. They are easy to install once you get the hang of replacing your current quick release skewers.I took a one month course on a college campus where bike thefts are common so I bought and installed these in advance. Not only did adding these locks remove the incentive to steal my bike’s seat or wheels, they also allowed me to lock just the frame as opposed to frame and wheels, when I was in a hurry. My only criticism is that as I try to get additional sets for two other bikes in the family, it’s proving to be difficult to buy them with the exact key pattern.

Just what I needed for city riding
Instead of buying a bunch of locks and cables, I decide to try these out. So far I’ve taken my bike out in San Fran a few times and left it locked up on Market, Valencia, Hayes Valley and down at the Embarcadero without any parts getting stolen.Pros:-seems secure so far-really easy to installCons:-the seat bit didn’t work on my seats, so I’ve just overtightened the bolts hoping that someone won’t be strong enough to untighten them :)-you MUST carry the key with you when riding (I say this because of the next con)-I’ve noticed that the wheel locks have a tendency to come a bit loose, so check them before riding (you’ll notice when you start riding and your tire isn’t moving…check the pinhead lock first to see if it’s loose)Overall, seems like a pretty secure product and it hasn’t let me down yet.

Wheel locks are good (check brakes), seat lock isn’t great, only one key
This is a great value package which ideally protects your wheels and seat from petty theft. Installation is pretty simple, too. One thing to note, check your brake alignment after installing the wheel skewers (especially if you have disc brakes). Both of mine needed a quick realignment after the locks were installed. One nitpick is that they only give you one key. Surely these keys can’t cost more than a dollar or two to manufacture but almost no consumer could possibly copy one, so it would be good for both the consumer and their customer service department to include a second key. Also, I’d personally prefer if the key was just a single solid piece with a 90 degree angle instead of being hinged, since that would make it easier to use given the amount of torque required to secure the locks.Upon further usage, I noticed my seat post lock can’t tighten enough to prevent me from being able to easily twist the seat between my thighs. I am a big man so maybe this won’t be a problem for lighter riders, but it’s still a bit disappointing since the stock quick release lever doesn’t have this problem.

Proven to work, just need better installation instructions
First off, this lockset has proven to work. I am a tall person and I like to set my seat up high but because of this setup, it really sticks out amongst other bikes and with just a twist of the quick release and its gone. This happened to me with my first bike. This time, with this set, after parking my bike outside my building for the entire day, I noticed my seat post twisted slightly to the left and that could only happen from someone trying to twist my seat out. Success!Pros: – it works!Cons: – need clearer instructions on how to piece together washers and bolts before installation, not sure if I did it right or now as pictures do no correlate with the piecesTips: From other reviews, it recommended to not tighten the lock too much (quarter rotation after snug) but I found its ok to go half to 3/4 rotation

Feel much better having these on both my wheels and seat post. Having my chain/D-lock alone on the bike and knowing they can be cut off made me feel less confident about any of my bike parts being stolen, but I know with these they can’t quick release anything off, and Alan keys etc won’t work either. Great product!

I bought this set for my Trek Marlin 6 2023 and I can only use the front skewer. The rear skewer is not compatible due it not being long enough. The seat post clamp is too small for the post, I did manage to squeeze it on but the bolt is too short so the end cap would not screw on. Not worth it if buying for a mountain bike.
