Secure
I like these. Just bought a new evike and wanted something a little more than just a lock to secure it. These fit the bill nicely. I sincerely doubt anyone is going to steal my seat, fork, or wheels with these on. The key is good and it’s relatively easy to install them but even with the key I wouldn’t want to try and take them off in a hurry. I can’t imagine trying to tackle these things without it with standard tools. I’d probably go straight to an angle grinder and try to cut them off lol. I feel like my bike is a lot safer to park when out and about now.

Great price for piece of mind.
This set works great. Everything fit.The headset cap fits 1 1/8 headtubes, the skewers are universal, they fit my 700c road bike no problem.I had to buy the additional seat post clamp because the universal one provided was not going to work, but I knew that ahead of time.I tightened the nuts down firm, but not stupid tight, I check them every so often to make sure they are still snug. Now I don’t worry about using only one lock on my bike, I toss on a u lock and go.

seat lock may not work
I very much like having the locking wheel skewers, and the headset lock is a good addition to that (if you have the correct type of headset, which is easy to check). My complaint is that the seat lock has very mixed compatibility: It replaces the bolt in your seat clamp, but requires that the bolt hole be sufficiently large. You also need enough flat(ish) space on either side for the ends to sit. You can get a special seat clamp that works well with this, but that’s really overpriced and potentially not compatible with your bike (eg, if you have your brake cable hanger on the seat clamp).

Well worth the price!
The Pinhead Bicycle Locking Skewer set is one of the best investments you can make in regards the security of your bicycle. The cost at first might be a bit surprising, but if you take into account how much: a new front or back wheel (hubs, rims, tires), seat post and seat, and even your front fork, would cost to replace, the money you pay for these four items makes more and more sense.Putting them on the bike was a breeze and the tool used to tighten the nuts down is simple to use. One tip, the seat post collar comes with two shims to help with sizing. As you ratchet down the nut, you may need to add a washer or two so that you can fully tighten it. The size of the bolt is larger than the hole in the tool, so it will not fit into the hole in the tool, like the bolts on the wheel skewers, do as you tighten it.I also like that you can get a replacement tool, don’t forget to record its unique serial number, if you lose it.I purchased this item for my daughter who is heading off to college this summer. It gives me peace of mind knowing that someone will not be making off with parts of her bike while it is securely locked to a bike stand.

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT
There are so many different types of locking skewers. I called over to the company and got a guy on the phone. They are quick to answer questions, stand behind their product, and its from Canada! Whats not to like. They fit well and stay put. The keychain tool is a little floppy but it works. Keep in mind, it has a seat post lock to replace a quick release setup but not a seat lock so you might come back to just a seat post if the thief really likes your gel pad.

Add protection
Do not be mistaken. This is additional security and not a fix all. It is easy to overcome for a mid-level thief. But this is a light weight way to add additional security and to add just another obstacle to face, there by making a bike with this system, along with a U lock, and a front wheel lock, that much less desirable as the thief will go for the two bikes next to yours before thinking about going after yours.

Good idea and has room for easy improvements.
The main draw back of this is the size of the handle/bottle opener end. Itâs too short to get any really good torq. It should be an inch or two longer so the user can actually hold it when tightening the heads. The seat post is the big failure in this system. Iâm 165lbs / 5â11â. And I tighten the pinhead until it couldnât budge. It dropped me 4â on the shaft when I hit a bump.Easy fix would be if the Pinhead collar had a lever to get that final synch in. Or if the handle on the key was longer so I could get more than one palm knuckle on it to tighten more. All the other pinhead part swaps work well. And although there are two tools that can be used to use as make shift keys, they are a huge pain in the ass which is a good deterrent for would be casual thieves. If they made the key handle a little longer and gave the seat post collar a lever for final tightening under the Pinhead I wouldâve given this product 5 stars.

Great set of wheel and seat locks
Very easy to install. Took at most 30 mins to change out skewers and seat lock. Thought that the expense was a bit much but after receiving the wheel locks I can see that they are well made and worth the cost. They also came with the special washers to stop the use of Gator Grip sockets. I do recommend that you get the full set so you only have the one key for all the locks. My only worry is if I lose the special key tool, but I understand that u can get a replacement key from Pinhead.

A very good system that give the thieves a hard time to get past. By far better than any other that I have come across over the last 40 years of long distance cycling. It gives the bike rider a good piece of mind when they go to sleep that their bike shall still be there in one piece in the morning. A very good deal for the price.

I really like these, which I bought on a friend’s recommendation. They fit easily and I feel safer locking my bike in city streets now. The wheel locks are especially nice because I previously had quick release wheels and needed extra cables to secure them.

I have fitted these in minutes, could not use the steering head cap on my bike.Wish Iâd bought a spare key.
